Title: Web Revival Glossary
Post by: kurohaato on October 18, 2023 @871.68
For about 6 months now I've had the idea to make a web revival guide on my site. Unfortunately, I almost never have motivation to work on stuff, so as of now it's just a glossary and an about page. I thought about waiting until I was ~2/3rds done with the guide to post anything about it, but at this point I feel like if I don't share what I've done so far I never will. :ok:

Here's the link to the glossary if you want to check it out (https://whiteheartrainbowsoul.neocities.org/web_revival_guide/glossary)! If there's anything you think I should add or a definition you want me to expand on, just let me know. I know from a quick glance I want to expand the definitions of Web 1.0 and Web 2.0, but besides that I feel like it's done enough to share.  :4u:

Hey, that's pretty neat! I'm sure individuals not in the know will appreciate a simple glossary like this. :4u:

I reckon you should add a term for Geocities too. It would be a nice addition to Neocities's meaning. Also I think "graphic hoards" are commonly used as well.

I would like to add that at least in the early 2000s, the popular button size was 100x35, which isn't as popular as 88x31 now.

This is great, and very useful for new people! Please do add it to the wiki list of guide links if you like  https://wiki.melonland.net/community_web_guides
