Oh you know about vistaserv as well

I think it's a really cool place for making minimal sites, and at least when I used to be a regular there the guestbook was a really nice way to talk with others about our sites. There was even a user named dir who managed a directory with links to other cool sites, but he took that page down and now it's long gone...

I can sum up my expirience there as - great site, chill community, and somehow nails down perfectly the 90's aesthetic.

From what I understand laserdiscs were actually popular in Japan, at least to some degree... when it comes to Anime, there were many OVAs which either included an LD release, or even released exclusively to them.

Well, as someone from Israel my native language is Hebrew and English is my second lang.
I remember that they tried to teach us Arabic in school but that was pretty much a failure
Other than that, I also took a German Class for 1 year, and compared to Arabic I actually remember stuff from it.

So not long ago I started working on a little thing that I like to call the SWF corner. It's a place on my site where I showcase some cool flash animations (and even some games) that I found, from a few gigz of flash files which I have. I'm using Ruffle to run the flash files instead of the flash plugin so as long as you have js and a browser that supports webassembly you're good to go

I'm yot, a ...relatively normal person in the day, and a passionate netizen at night. My interests are made of internet culture (in its many different forms...), technology, vidya games, cartoons & anime, and cats, which are finely grained and mixed together into a gooey mess which is my brain

I'm also the proud owner of yot.co.il, which is where I put some ramblings from time to time.

I'll ujst say it here - I never experienced the old web. I was simply too young. What I can say however is that the modern web isn't really that fun, and that places like this are like a the last shining lights, in a very, very deep sea...
