When I was younger, I would make my avatars look very different from me as I had body confidence issues :( but now I prefer to make my avatars look a bit more like me, as my confidence has improved a lot :D

I go for mint/mint choco chip when it's available, but if not then I go with vanilla if im scouting out flavors. I'm not the pickiest person in the world when it comes to ice cream though, so i usually just go with whatever i find interesting

I made a bunch of random small changes to my site, such as changing the scrollbar and messing with the style of my art page. I also added some new art, but it's on a separate page that's directly linked on the art page, so i see no real point in linking it in reality i just want more people to look at my art, ehehehe!!! :3c

im a bit of a touhou fan (understatement) so i picked my current username based on a character i like (wriggle nightbug) + i was in the middle of my "2000s anime is so cool i want that style" phase so i made it sound like the username of someone who would post adorably crusty anime drawings on deviantart
the username i had been using was also based on touhou (patchyb4k4) so i just kept up the trend of me having 2hu usernames

sites with awful contrast between the text and the bg (like those pastel "aesthetic" sites that are/were a thing), making it so that i have to highlight all the text or put on dark reader so i can read things comfortably i understand the creative decision if its for an aesthetic or specific vibe, but if the site is text heavy then at least some consideration should go into if things can be read comfortably without having to highlight text or use an extension...

my site is easier to work on and looks a lot better, to say the least

I tend to default to drawing vaguely girl-shaped beings with cute frilly dresses and fluffy hair when i dont know what else to draw. Maybe add a pair of horns or other weird vaguely monster-like feature and BAM! instant nightbug comfort zone character design
As for themes...I like making things involving people who've drifted apart getting back together again, for old times sake. There's something weirdly beautiful about a group of people who have gone their own ways coming back together as a group, even if its for one last time.

Most of my inspo for my site comes from random things I come across on old site and random internet rabbitholes i find. sometimes i look at something and go "damn, that's smart!" and other times i go "wow, thats crusty and awful, but i appreciate what this has going on!"
I also like going through old sozai (web material) sites are really fun to go through because,,,,pwetty graphics,,,,
mateken.870search.com is a catalog of a few Japanese sozai sites, its all in Japanese (obviously) so a translation app of some kind might be needed to browse through it
