A lot of decaf tea, with oat milk and sweetened with brown sugar, and a bit of vanilla essence! And every Tuesday, if I've got work, I'll get myself a boba tea from a nearby shop to make the long shifts feel more fun. Decaf iced coffee with caramel syrup has been my guilty pleasure too, and I have always enjoyed fruit juices too (pomegranate juice being my fav!)
I love to cook! I've been doing it quite a lot lately for to prepare me when I go off to college soon, and I've developed a particular fondness for Cuban food. It uses a lot of spices and herbs that I don't often find in the cuisine of my native country, but still has a really familiar and rich kind of aura. I also really like experimenting with older recipes, especially for neighborhood potlucks or family get-togethers (my dreadful jello salads are a sight to behold!).
Hell yeah!! As I write this message, I'm listening to some songs by Whispering Jack Smith. He was one of those big-time early crooners from the 1920s, and he's got this really deep voice like silk, so soothing and nice to listen to. My absolute favorite song by him is probably "Blue Skies" :D
Currently, I'm drawing some characters from Dragon Quest VIII :) I got my first touchscreen tablet a few days ago, and it is AWESOME. I've never been very good with most techy stuff when it comes to art, so this is a major leap forward for me, and despite my worries at first, it's been really really easy to adjust to hehehe.
I don't live over there, but my family come from Japan, and one of the really big flavours over there is pickled plum (umeboshi)! It's salty, sour and a tiny bit sweet, and so damn good. I can sit and eat whole bags of the stuff if left to my own devices, though it would probably make my sodium levels go through the ROOF
Earthbound/Mother 2 for SURE. I would absolutely love to see a revamped version on switch, with crisp, clean art and an orchestrated soundtrack. Maybe the visual style of the game could be a bit like a 50's comic, since so much of Eagleland and everywhere else feels like it's right out of a space-age strip! And the world could definitely do with a game like Earthbound now, the messages in the game are just timeless.
This stuff reminds me of some of David Firth's stuff from a few years ago!! Particularly "Cream", I think it has the same gritty colors and mishmash of textures
