☮︎ ∙ Clubs, Events & Webrings / Re: Organizing a Trekkie Webring?« on: August 10, 2022, 02:59:44 pm »It would certainly make me feel vindicated in working on a Deep Space 9 shrine for 8 months I support a Trekkie ring fully.![]() 2
☺︎ ∙ Chat & General Interests / Re: I have a slight obsession with weird/novelty snacks/sweets/drinks.« on: August 10, 2022, 02:47:02 pm »So jazzed to see my two favorite sodas mentioned. Then I also got a Code Red because I've never had one, and whatever "Volt" is that I've never even heard of. I try not to drink Mountain Dew that much anymore but when I do I always get Voltage. It's delicious. I'm glad you enjoyed it; it's been my favorite Mountain Dew flavor since I was a teen. i really really love birch beer!!! (...) (i think its a regional thing). And birch beer!! It is sadly super regional :-( I've only ever seen it in Ohio. I don't want to go back to Ohio but I would for birch beer and Vernors ginger soda: ![]() I don't get a lot of novelty drinks (I'm very into my preferred beverages) but I'm a big fan of Calpico. It's made from milk and it's weirdly refreshing. So far I've had a chance to try the original, strawberry, and white peach. I think the white peach is the best. ![]() 3
☕︎ ∙ Fun & Forum Games / Re: Do you have any new years resolutions?« on: January 26, 2022, 10:40:12 pm »Seems the theme of 2022 is being kinder to one's self, and I'm no different! My resolution is to improve my productivity/recreation balance. Anyone else have a nasty habit of working on full blast for months on end until you're almost catatonic? here's to ending that habit before 2023!4
☕︎ ∙ Fun & Forum Games / Re: If you had the ability to eat anything, what would be your new favorite food?« on: January 26, 2022, 10:36:12 pm »If we're breaking all the rules? I want to drink late 90's cg liquid. ![]() If we are retaining some of the rules: gotta go with nightdrift on the molten metal I think. Maybe freshly blown glass that's still gooey. 5
♖ ∙ Games Cafe / Re: what game do u want to play but havent yet?« on: January 12, 2022, 12:02:58 pm »I've finally got my hands on Hypnospace Outlaw but can't seem to get around to playing it. I've also had Pathologic 2 waiting for my time for some months. I just have to get over my resistance to starting new things. 6
✁ ∙ Web Crafting / Re: What do you think of web feeds?« on: December 23, 2021, 06:26:50 am »I've been vaguely aware of RSS the entire time I've been online but I didn't actually start using it until about a week ago! I switched from firefox to Vivaldi and it's got a built in feed reader when you use the fully featured version. It's not the cleanest but it's really nice for keeping up with this forum My feed is pretty bare too, so chances are if I do end up adding many more sites I'll switch to something like fraidycat. 7
♖ ∙ Games Cafe / Re: What's your favourite mobile game?« on: December 23, 2021, 03:20:35 am »Well! Like everyone else I don't play very many! I really enjoy The Last Banacat, its an infini-runner that's super cute. Solitarica is a fun one that's a rogue like with solitaire as its combat system; I actually got it in a humble bundle before I realized it's a mobile game port! Other than that it's all sudoku and word-finds for me :omg:k: 8
✁ ∙ Web Crafting / Re: Website Design & Mobile-Friendly Design« on: December 23, 2021, 03:14:18 am »I think the biggest question is always, does this info neeeed to be on a phone? A moody music exploration site does not need to be on a phone, and recipe site prob does because people might want to use the phone to read in the kitchen. This is how I feel about it as well, I don't think any of my sites contents would be of interest "on the go" so I don't bother with mobile support; and I think my site looks fine enough on landscape that a mobile user could navigate it anyways. If I did standard web browsing on my phone I would probably feel differently, but I never really 'got' the point of phone browsing, since I've always had some kind of laptop or desktop available. 9
✁ ∙ Web Crafting / Re: Long, shortened, and midrange domains pros and cons list« on: December 17, 2021, 05:00:54 am »Whats your opinion on emoji domains or all number domains? Emoji domains as a concept delight me to no end, actually. Though I think I would get very annoyed by typing emoji on a desktop all the time. Though for long or short domains I don't have a ton of preference; since browsers autofill stuff I really only need the first 3-6 letters of a domain on tap to navigate. I care more about TLDs, and .net is king in my heart 10
❤︎ ∙ Greetings and Introductions / Re: Introduce yourself!« on: December 16, 2021, 10:13:05 am »Hey there, I'm Cy83r, but Phie works too. I grew up on the terrible budding social media scape of the late 00s, and never got very entrenched in a forum, but I've always found them so alluring, so I'll linger around when I can get my brain to remember it exists.
