This thread made me finally make a badge for my site!!!

OOh this is a tricky question!!! My first thought is psychic/fairy. Psychic since I'm in my own head a lot and think a lot about how other people think (also , I like tarot LOL.) Fairy because I'm drawn to really elegant feminine aesthetics. But I also feel like psychic/water would work well!! The ocean and ocean creatures have always had a big influence on my life, plus a lot of my favourite pokemon as a kid were water types!

My cat is named Mama, which is the name she had when my parents initially got her!! She used to be one of their barn cats but now she lives with me in the city! My dog that still lives with them is named Poppy (I love giving things floral names) and I wish she could live with me but she would hate not being able to run around everywhere like she can in the country.

My last betta fish was named Crescent, after a crescent shaped marking on his gill he had when I got him. When he passed I wanted to pick another C name for my next betta, so her name is Calypso! Her tank also has a small school of neon tetras (who I just call The Girls) and a small school of otocinclus (who I just call The Boys)

Sea creatures! I really enjoy keeping fish, and growing up by the ocean gave me an appreciation for all kinds of cool creatures! Orca whales were my favourite animal as a kid! When playing spies my codename was Blue Orca B)

Our half-elf paladin, Xander! He's a real sweet church boy, eager to learn and a bit naive. Soren has been flirting with him since session 1, and it took three more sessions and intervention from another party member for him to realize what was happening.

And another piece of Soren! I think this one turned out well. A little messy, but I think it's pretty expressive! I'm particularly happy with the eyes, since those often give me trouble, and I feel like these ended up really good!

I like sending interesting forum threads to my friends sometimes to spark discussions, it would kind of suck if I couldn't do that any more. A lot of them aren't really that interested in getting involved with the small web and wouldn't want to make an account.

Seeing the above post made me realize what my answer was! I don't know what the actual name for these are, but I love the more detailed "freeze frames" you tend to see in older anime, where they hold on a more detailed and rendered image for an extended amount of time. It acts as an animation saving technique since the higher detail means you don't have worry about animating it, and depending on the show it can really help set a tone! You see it more often at the end of a show, a frame with the main characters all laughing together at the end of a long day, for example. But some older anime used to use them a lot! I think my favourite examples are the ones in Oniisama E, which tends to use these freeze frames multiple times in an episode to highlight dramatic moments or emotional tension.

That's my favourite of the bunch too! The Blundstones are my daily shoe, I wear them year round. Maybe that makes me take them for granted, since they're not as "special" as my fancy leather heels ^^;

These are all so nice! I agree with Melooon, though, I take far too long to draw out comics, so I admire your speed on this! You managed to complete a huge number and still they look great

Yep, digitally on Clip Studio Paint! Previously I've done my hourly comics traditionally in a sketchbook (you can see my 2019 hourlies here: https://twitter.com/WodaroArt/status/1091494616535388161), but I wanted to try doing them digitally this year! It let me make them a little bit quicker, but I do also love the traditional ink sketch look. Not sure which option I'll go for next year!

Today was Hourly Comics Day!

It's a day where you make one comic every hour you're awake for a whole day! I had to cheat a little bit since I had a shift at work, but I managed to finish!

Lately I've been having a lot of fun drawing clothes! Especially shoes!!!

I think for the longest time I was just worried about making attractive faces/hands and didn't pay much attention to how I drew clothing. Nowadays though I'm trying to use more reference when I draw, and it's made me pay a lot more attention to the shape of shoes. I've drawn some fun heels recently, and now I'm working on a drawing involving some cute chunky sneakers. I've been interested in curating my current wardrobe and getting nicer pieces, so I suppose that's been carrying over into my work!
