A venting area

There are lots of places online to do that (Like Twitter ) but this forum is not one of them - in general I think online venting is not a good idea; if a person has emotional troubles, its unsafe for them to publish online and it can be harmful to others.

This forum is only for discussing the web, games, arts and related casual interests that people enjoy; it should not have anything heavier than that!

I thought UMDs were a really cool format.

If UMD's, MiniDiscs and Hi-MiniDisc's had been the same form factor and properly interoperable instead of separate formats, Sony would rule the world today I'll never understand why they split their formats like that, it was such a foolish move!

I enjoyed your Vent shrine, Iv never heard of that app, so it was cool to get a view into its culture - I was super into YikYak in 2014-15 before it got nasty - these unusual lil app based social networks are fascinating.

It might have even been on this forum; but a few people Iv encountered don't actually know Unity is a free game engine; Iv seen people mistake it for a company that produces (or publishes) shovel-ware games - because the unity logo is at the start of SO MANY crappy games - its actually a bit of an issue if you do make games with Unity and cant afford to pay the $400 a year to remove their logo from it

Oh boy.. this can actually be a really complex issue!

Don't forget you can also include things like forums, Neocities feeds or status.cafe - those are also different kinds of spaces you might use to share different kinds of information about you and your site - in fact this topic is a kind of interactive site update post since its capturing a moment of design for you!

If I count up all of my different blogs-feeds-pages-status sites etc.. its more than 10 (Although I use each one for a different thing and a different kind of post). The trick is that you start with one feed, then split it when it needs to be split, then split those feeds when you need to split them. You can keep splitting as long as you need too; but don't do it too fast, let the kind of things you wanna post guide your splits! (Now Im thinking of ice-cream splits :sad:smile:

You don't need to have a grand plan or get it right at first; you can let it evolve over time! It sounds like you've got a pretty good idea of what you wanna do right now; just remember you'll prob want to change it again in the future!
