RSS FEEDS

Are there any good RSS feeds you enjoy reading? Iv been trying to read the news a little less because its sad, it would be nice to know some good RSS feeds instead! Feel free to post your own personal RSS feeds too (However please only post active feeds that are updated regularly

Something that's always plagued me about my site is that its great for visual design, but its very hard to fit text and written pages into it.

In the past I tend to write my text in a word processor, then slowly copy and paste it into <p> tags on a html page to publish it. That's a pain and it makes it sooooper hard to re-edit the text later on.

ANYWAY, long story short, I started a new blog sub-site! It uses Textpattern to power it and is setup with a local WYSIWYG editor called MarsEdit so its really easy for me to write and post things on it.

Plans for this blog:

• Keep a personal diary
• Vastly expand the tutorials and guides offered on my site
• Add more recipes!
• Maybe do more essays, I kinda suck at those, so its a chance to get better

It has a bunch of RRS feeds, you can subscribe to the global feed of everything on the main page, and to individual section feeds on their pages. (Wow I have a lot of RSS feeds now..)

Send a picture of your setup/collection, it would be cool to see! Do you have it permanently setup/ready to use?

Oh a big one I thought though of; scrolling badge sections! Where people have their site badges in a marquee, so you have to sit there and wait in order to see all the sites badges they have. I think that's really disrespectful because it makes it so much harder for people to see the badges; its a bit like saying "I don't really care about these badges I just have them as decoration"

Hmmm, credit on websites is loose; I don't think you need to credit for code snippets, particularly if you modify them beyond being recognisable.

You definitely don't need to be like "I got x script from MooseMan56 and y gif from xXMegaEggXx"

However I think its good practice to keep a badge section on your site and include badges to sites that you found inspiring or that provided assets. Its not an explicit credit, but a low key link back helps those sites that helped you get visitors and helps your visitors find the cool stuff that inspired you.

Why do these skeletons want a pie? They cannot eat it, nor can they enjoy its sweet aroma! Are these skeletons under the employment pie loving wizard who will not let them rest until his thirst for pies is sated!!?!

But suddenly the worlds largest cow burst up from the ground and said "Moooooooo worship me!", the cow then started singing the worst possible version of "Who let the dogs out" until half the city died of cringe related illnesses and they other half dedicated themselves to gathering grains and fine flowers to feed the gigantic cow who would only stop singing when their mouth was full

Laser discs are hella cool! I have one of the Terminator purely for decoration! They are just like DVDs but HUGE (and old!)
