Discovered you can get infinite money if you buy trade goods from a traveling merchant and then just sell them back to the same merchant over and over again. I made about 2000g this way before I got bored and bought a house.
I haven't had a chance to play again yet, but I was talking to a friend about it. Apparently if you buy a house and put trophies in it, the value of the house is raised and you can sell it for a profit. Then you can break in, steal the trophies back, lowering the houses value, then buy the house back at the lower price. Rinse and repeat and you get a lot of money

Yeah writing intros can be a pain, I spend years on them and then I check them a week later and think "oh no did I really say that.." In the end though its all fine, you're perfect just how you are whatever you write. Another spirited away fan, maybe we need something spirited away themed around here
Dude I just found a beard on a bench after killing some mondo overfed wasps! But its -48 attractiveness DUDE x2 I went into the city and that dumb kid I beat up is there and hes still a kid! (I tried to find him again after the cut scene to beat him up more but I could not find him) Ugh Iv been shamed for my basic equipment. Omg you can get married in this game??
SO, I was in a bar and I asked two women to follow me and they were following me around like I was a rapper or something, but then there was some unfortunate actions in a fight with some bandits and one of them died and the other ran away and I feel bad for bringing them into this situation
Ok done for the day! I just did the Twinblade fight, it was a lil tedious. I would say overall the gameplay is a bit ehhh, its basically just room after room of bad guys to kill. However the voice acting is SUPER and I enjoy most of the story too, by far the best bit of this game is the quirky weirdness that goes on with NPCs.
I'm not sure whats happening here but its worrying.

But yeah, I'm not sure what the very first game I played was, but it was definitely Mac stuff from that "multimedia CD-ROM" era. It's an aesthetic I still find charming today, where everything you click produces some animation or video or sound effect.
This book looks great, I put my email down to be notified when it comes out I had a Performa too! But it was around 2006 when my mums office was dumping it, I had it setup on my desk for ages, but sound of the CRT drove me away from using it much. I think a lot of my inspiration comes from this era although Iv not really explored it as much as I should.
Sammy's Science House was badass! I particularly liked the workbench with its lil animations! Was it on the same CD as Thinkin Things 3 (I always associate those two)
My first game was Lunar Phantom (1995) https://www.gryphel.com/c/sw/arcade/lnrphntm/ I used to play it on my dads PowerBook 145 I still have it! The game in in back and white because Macs at that time didn't have colour screens yet :omg:k: I even emailed the developer years ago and he replied!
A little after that I also had a few other games like Mario's Game Gallery and ooph screw it lemmy go look for my CDs

No ones ever happy when you pick a platform! There is an older desktop version you and download from the page on MK I linked above. It has a Mac and Windows builds. I DID TRY and issue a linux build too, but it seemed to be totally broken and glitchy when I tried to test it, so I have no idea what the issue was.
I will be updating the desktop builds with the new iOS features in the future, that means moving to the newer version of Unity that the iOS version uses, so I'll try and do a linux build then and see if it works now!
You got to about the same point as me, I just graduated from the guild!
Also dude this game is rough. At the kid stage some dude asked me to guard his barrels, so I was like sure; then this stupid kid came and was telling me to break the barrels and I was like no, then he left and I went to check the barrels; they were fine but then the dude came back and was like "I TOLD YOU TO STAND THERE AND YOU WERNT THERE", and I was like "dude I was checking your barrels", but he said I was a bad person or something; so I went and found the kid and started beating him up, and then the guard started chasing me saying I needed to amend my ways and I was like "IM TRYING", but he was lame so I tried punching him; anyway my dad was disappointed in me, but I know I was in the right and I saved some lil girls teddy bear form a bully so that's ok I guess.
Anyway, I got an A+ at swording and A+ at magic although I almost shocked the guildmaster to death, but I suck at archery.
Also I found the camera a little jarring at first too, I had to turn my graphics right down and then it got a little better.
I'm a little intimidated by android because there are so many types of android phones, some of them would work fine, but a lot of the budget ones would not work well at all, plus there are a bunch of android stores, Google, Amazon etc, its a major hassle! Worse than that I don't have an android phone that I could properly test the game on at the moment I might need to buy a Nexus tablet or something that I can test with (do they still make those?)
So I'm not against doing an android version at some point, but I think I need to take a break first, getting it on iOS was exhausting

If you can still log in and edit your site then you should be fine (I think they delete instantly if they actually delete, so if its been more than a week you are prob safe). To be really safe just make sure you keep a backup of your site on your computer too, that's good to do in any situation!
I was playing animal crossing this evening and looking at my island. I started playing March 11th? 2020, almost 2 years ago. In those 2 years the world has changed so much, there was a pandemic, I finished college, moved cities and countries, started and ended a relationship, have had relatives and friends pass away, have started a career and seen web communities like the yesterweb and this forum rise from the ground up, and now this business with Ukraine. Its been a LOT!
When I look at that animal crossing island though, its almost timeless, I remember it was spring 2020 when I placed a particular streetlamp, or selected the carpet I still have in my room. I think so much has happened in my life, its almost like playing a strangers game, yet its still mine. The person who first started working on that save file 2 years ago could never have imagined all that would happen.
The other day I found the memory card with my first animal crossing town on it from 2004, Iv no idea if it still works, but I'm genuinely scared to try, I'm not sure I want to return to that space that I made all that time ago, maybe its better to let it stay a memory.
I also lost a save file today, I had an old backup with a Skyrim save on it that was encrypted, but Iv forgotten the password so I deleted it
Old save files are strange, games are like other worlds, or at least dreams of other worlds. We can freeze them and return to them, forget them, find them or loose them forever. They have no right to exist, but maybe we never had a right to visit them in the first place, or maybe it was always just a happy accident.
How do you feel about old saves, or do you feel anything at all? Have you ever returned to an old save and had a weird experience?
