Oh god, i remember this site... wasn't this part of some sort of creepypasta/ARG ??
Anyways i always tought it looked cool af- most sites linked to "internet mysteries" are very interesting!
Love the idea of trying to make a webpage as creepy as possible!

Once i was at my friend's house, and he set me up with this girl... so i was sitting on the couch with her- we were already flirty and drank a bit of wine, and we decided to watch a movie.
Him and his girlfriend were curious about this movie called "Tetsuo: the iron man" and thinking it would be a fun b-movie to make out in front of, we started it (also at that time it was fully free on youtube!).

After around 3 minutes i was completley captured by the movie, surroundings fading in the background, i was completley focused on that masterpiece! And to think that i was hoping it was a bad movie to have in the background while flirting! It felt like it lasted 5 minutes and an eternity simultaneusly, i was never capured so much by something, when the movie was over and the youtube suggestion took over the screen i felt like crying, i wanted more!
The next day, i decided to rewatch it, maybe my excessive emotional reaction was due to the 3 bottles of wine i drank, but it wasn't the case, watching it sober and alone was an even more amazing experience.

I don't really know what hit me so much about this movie, i guess it has a unique energy that nothing else really captures that clicked particularly with me, afterall it's a mix of things i like (artzy movies + body horror + industrial music + comedy + sto motion) packaged in a wonderfully crafted art piece. Also it says enough informations to let you understand everything- but leaves enough space to let the mind wandering.

I don't think i will ever find a movie that makes me so interested in it, not even tetsuo's sequels worked for me. I have other movies that i like a lot (moonlight, Vampire hunter D: Bloodlust, and fear and loathing in as vegas for example), but i never enjoyed a movie this much in my life. I am blessed that it exits!

Have you ever had a similar reaction to a movie? what movie was it?
And if you saw Tetsuo, did you like it ?

PS: at the end, the girl i met that night wasn't interested in me, probably insulting marvel for half an hour then ignoring her flirts because of a strange japanese film wasn't the best idea!

I like it a lot melon!
Manages to look professional without losing soul! I like that it has a lot of visual impact, and that i know who's behind it just by looking at it! wether circular or rectangular your websites have a really melon energy, i can see how much of yourself you put in them!

As for the circle! Ugh I just get sick all all the rectangles on the web sometimes; I know this is secretly still a rectangle, but I would like more orb centric websites! It adds some dead space around the edges, but its worth it.

I like the orb idea, i also saw a hexagon centric webpage:

I wish i could experiment with shapes like that more, but it requires quite a bit of technical skills!

For me a few things are:
  • Making things - Art, websites, bits of code, as long as I have something to make!
  • Cooking - Cooking is fun and eating really good food is always worth living for.
  • Walking and seeing places - I cant think of a time Iv ever been unhappy on a hike!

I feel like these things bring me joy too, but i must add...

  • My friends: they just make the world better
  • Cats: i love them okay:dunno: like if you ever had a cat this is self explanatory
  • Appreciating the small beautiful thing in life...taking your time to appreciate a bug, or a cool building on your way home, or a kind stranger that helps you bring a heavy grocery bag...makes my day brighter and living easier, i think people should learn how to appreciate little details more, because they make life so interesting! :loved:

Hi ! i am very much enjoying this thread and i will leave something about my personal experience!

Before the quarantene, i wasn't really a big social media/internet user, i mostly lurked around and only engaged in groupchats, but i'd say that it's defenetly true that online was my "default" (especially after dating a girl who talked more on whatsapp then irl :ohdear: ).
During the quarantene my internet usage became defenetly more unhealthy (like most people honestly).
I never did it acritically - but i was too much in a bad place mentally to really "get off".
Also a contributing factor is that i have ADHD, and algorythmic social media is basically made to trap ADHDers in entless scrolling loops of hours.
Also i felt like that if i stopped using social media, i would miss out on alot of "cool stuff" and groups of people that share my interests.
Luckily it's not true!!
I am still keepig my social media account, mostly to go show appreciations to very cool artists i follow there, but i want to start to make internet a more positive experience for my self :pc: and actually enjoy the cool people in my computer instead of scrolling past them and leaving a like.:4u:

Hi Melon thank you for the welcome!

a mold live feed would defenetly be cool, but i hardly doubt i can set that up especially because i have to keep my petri dishes locked away from my (extremley curious) kitty :omg: If i had a spare room it would be my "decomposition experiments" room for sure tough!

Hi! i am Cami (or Taro!) I'm 22 y.o. and italian!

I like nerdy stuff like comicbooks and cartoons, i also have a big interest in psychology (so big that it's what i'm studying in university!) and i love animals a lot!...and more that you will disocver (i am so bad at listing things i like sorry)

I recently decided to join the neocities community, i always felt there was something wrong about social media but i couldn't find another place to post my works/interest etcetera... so glad i found neocities! my site is This!

I found this site trouch Cinni, she posted about a constest here then linked me to the forum

I love makig things on the web because i love sharing, i like sharing with my friends of course, but on the internet you have the possibility to share your passion and interests with people from the other side of the world! being in contact with diverse cultures is always fascinating and makes you a little bit more open minded i think!
