I played Arkanoid DS when I was younger, and though I don't really know the exact level of obscurity it sits on, I can at least say that 1). VGCharts reports 0.06m North American sales (no data on the other regions) and 2). it is generally agreed upon that it's a bad game lol. In any case: nobody is talking about this game.

That said, when I replayed the game for nostalgia value a while back I noticed the soundtrack is actually way better and more varied than you would expect from an Arkanoid game! It also fits the very Y2K presentation as well, I feel (see attached image).

If I'm gonna do a Browsing Session, I tend to listen to music of my own and if a site starts playing something else I'll pause my own so I get the full experience, just as the webmaster intended

I'm definitely interested in making video games! Haven't done it a lot though. What's holding me back the most, aside from a general 'not doing it', is my lack of programming knowledge. I might go and study computer science though, so I could apply the knowledge from there and be able to create my own things. I know that's not the only way to go about it but having the external motivation to get crackin' and get a degree at the end of it seems pretty sweet to me lol

It's a small little demo, barely even a game but it was still fun to work on so I'm glad we made it! (Also I still think the hand-drawn fish are the coolest )

Also as far as you can call it a videogame, I keep having ideas for a story to build in Twine which is an 'open-source tool for telling interactive, nonlinear stories'. I should probably actually get started on it but I keep trying to build on ideas in my head instead of actually doing something... Someday!

Sounds like a really great idea! You should just go for it: if you focus on getting better, your podcasting skills will also improve, so don't worry about being a Natural Vocaliser because that will come. I've been occasionally livestreaming for almost 3 years now and just because I've been talking I can definitely tell I've improved at, well, talking. (While I was reading and writing a lot in English, I would never speak it much.) It's more important you have something to say and I think you've got that covered lol

If you still need people by the time you're starting, I'm down to be on. Definitely interested in listening if you decide to do it! Do you already have topics in mind you want to discuss?
