I tried to get it to write a forum post guiding people on how to pick a username, but I wanted it to sound like it was written by a 13 year old from 2006 and it did a pretty good job after a few attempts!
This is really endearing and kinda creepy at the same time... Endearing because, yeah, that is a 13 year old kid from 2006 telling us how to pick a username alright, but it also makes me think about the ramifications of just letting these kinds of software loose on the internet. When this technology has advanced like, even a year or less, would we even be able to tell which people online are real? I mean theoretically we can already ask ourselves that but this is obviously way more advanced than any twitter bot or blog-ad-revenue-farm active right now... oh well, guess we'll have to see lol
I'd definitely be down for a MelonLand Minecraft server, although I do get the apprehension: it's a lot of work to keep it running, let alone smoothly, and I've seen a lot of servers start with much enthusiasm and then fizzle out after a month or so. Still, with roughly 430 people on the forum I'd say it's definitely an idea worthy of exploring and I'll be sure to check it out if it happens! I'm also willing to help, but I'm having a busy period ahead of me so I don't know how useful I'd be
At conventions and such you can still get a lot of StreetPass connections! I went to Gamescom last year and I got a whole barrage of hits there. My greeting message was 'i hate gamers' which is pretty rude in retrospect but to be fair, I had been standing in line for the first demo I went to for 1 hour already when I remembered I should set up StreetPass
Right now if I want to change my Ultimate Profile™ it wipes everything I put in there before, and I would have to copy/paste the previous contents before changing anything! Is this intended?
Recently I started listening to the Podcast But Outside, which is a podcast (but outside). Basically the hosts just set up shop alongside some sidewalk (a different one every episode) and pay passersby 1 dollar to be a guest on their show. Listened to 3 episodes so far and it's just really interesting to hear the stories of random people, and it's also funny to hear them try to convince people to join in between the guests lol
