I've never had mini discs but that is possibly the coolest thing I have ever seen. Is there a good place to get them? Shall I search the depths of Ebay?

Hey everyone, I've been a bit down recently. My laptop got stolen and I got broken up with in the same week (writing this from my phone). I've just been wondering, how do you guys cheer yourselves up after a hard time? Much love from the smoothest of skulls :4u:

The only mp3 player I ever owned besides my phone is the 5th gen U2 ipod. I like U2 but am not a huge fan. I mostly got it because of the black and red colour scheme.

(Photo isn't mine, but it looks exactly like that).

I don't use it anymore, but it got me through college. It's still in great physical condition, but I doubt the battery will hold a charge anymore.
OMG A CLASSIC. I love those things. Does anyone know where I could buy an Ipod btw?

« on: December 09, 2022, 07:29:50 pm »
This reminded me, I inherited my grandmothers and fathers music collections. I have a bit of vinyl, a few eight tracks but most importantly to this a metric ton of cassettes (sort of wanting to mail out some cassetess to some friends and relatives) and I have possibly the strangest mix; Rap and Country. My father was a huge rap fan when he was young so I got all his Bone-thugs, Tupac, Jazzy Jeff and Biggie. On the other hand I have a literal pile of Hank Williams, Alan Jackson, Willie Nelson and other country artists I don't care for. I also have a couple random ones like kids music and Christmas music. It's one of my favourite ways to collect music and I wanna see if I can get some cassettes custom made

I adore nightcore, I used to be super disgusted by it and hated it. Then I realized I only hated it because I didn't want to seem cringe, now I embrace it. I love the sped up nonsense songs.
These are my current favorites
What's Nightcore without Basshunter
Another Classic
This just makes me smile

Personally my favorite things to draw right now are very blocky and angley people like https://preview.redd.it/yyt1frx0kos91.png?auto=webp&s=219cd8124d27741eab04b4d9ffdb2745ab7cc8d7this persons art. I also love writing the buddy cop trope and I'm working on a buddy cop cyberpunk style story.

MP3 players definitely still have a place in my heart, something about having a device soley for music is amazing to me. Personally I'm using a cheap Chinese knock off MP3 player with a 32GB SD card. Once I have some money I do wanna get a better one and maybe go down the route of modding an Ipod. Does anybody know a good way to edit the data of an MP3 so that I can change the album name or artist name?

I think flip phones deserve a proper comeback, the latest line of modern flip phones just feel like smartphones that are flexible, I love the feeling of slamming a phone closed to end a phone call

This mix is what I've been using for background while I browse recently!

I have a reputation for liking things everyone else hates. Usually movies.

I think the old Super Mario movie is great. I don't like most of the Mario games and hadn't ever played one before I saw the movie, so I had no expectations or source material to compare it to. On its own, it's a fun, cheesy scifi movie that gets way too much hate.

I also fully believe that The Phantom Menace is a mostly great film. Anakin's acting isn't great (but it's still awful how much Jake Lloyd and Ahmed Best were bullied for their roles in the film), but even as a young kid I didn't find the political plot boring and I've never hated Jar Jar. But even if those things were all as bad as people say, the pod racing scene and fight with Darth Maul at the end would still make up for it.
The first Super Mario movie was one of my favorite movies as a kid, super weird and surreal
