(forgive me for i am severely stoned while i've been trying to post this for almost an hour now )
SO!  :omg:  Diner Dash, a little update on that I replayed the game and it was pretty freaking good in my standards, might be blinded by the nostalgia but i legit was so invested and vicariously living thru Flo's life it was so fun. I played the game "Avenue Flo" which is a little bit outside of an actual Diner Dash game, its actually a click and point adventure and follows Flo (the waiter u play as in Diner Dash) and her neighborhood! Lotsa little fun puzzle games and interesting-enough plot and gameplay + art. like it would definitley turn some heads at posting or even feeling the need to play or re-play it PLEASE  :ozwomp:  :ozwomp:

For anyone who wants accesss to this game. please play some if you have the chance and let me know what u thought!! For real, this would definitley turn some heads for sure i think

✁ ∙ Web Crafting / Neocity/Geocity Personality Quizzes
« on: February 18, 2023, 08:39:56 pm »
SOoo, I've been doing a lot of personality quizzes to add to my website and I was wondering how one could make these kindsa quizzes for their websites! Me and Twan1 were discussing making a personality quiz on "What Kind of Gross Water Are You?" and I was wondering how we could go about coding a classic geocity quiz like these. I've never made a personality quiz before so I was just curious as to anywhere I could code/make one,
orr share your own personal experiences with personality quizzes you've played or made.  :ok:  :ok:

I wonder if that's the same thing or something similar(?). Actually, I might've unknowingly and frequently used it on the internet back in the early 2010s..
My days on the net when I was much younger, oh boy..  :ohdear: instead of having a leetspeak phase i actually exclusively typed in all caps
it was hard when i played online multiplayer games because i accidentally came off very rude and as if i was screaming all the time , i do regret that to the poor ppl who had the misfortune of talking to 11 y/o me on Don't Starve Together

also speaking of outdated phrases, things like "XD" and "ROFL" def died out. RIP to the ROFLcopte

Sandile!! He is my absolute favorite. That and I think my starter would be one of my main partners (I feel way too guilty to leave those guys in the dust after having them since the very beginning)

« on: February 17, 2023, 07:22:51 pm »

There is nothing I can say about this game that fully encapsulates the feelings I had playing it. You play as a young trans girl on the early web, posting on a forum about an anime you watch. There are themes of community, hate, abuse, but ultimately a happy ending. This is not my experience, but it feels raw and true. and I don't think it could have been possible if it wasn't set in 1999 and based around forums and instant messengers. I genuinely cried at this game and I'll tell you that does not happen often.

:omg:  :omg: this sounds sooo good i really need to check this out thank you for sharing!  :cheesy:  :cheesy:

My unpopular opinion is that if you type with the font Mrs Monster I will read everything you say in an over the top screaming Dr Frankenstein voice That's not a bad thing either, I love it. having different fonts makes everything feel more lively in here. I need to get around to personalizing my text and sig.

 *metalhead voice* RAAAAAAAAAH!  I agree though, I love my font and doing customization.. albeit i should pick something easier to read.. the other fonts just dont feel like "me" enough though as this combo does so i havent changed it yet  :cheesy:  that and also, im just.. Lazy!  :ha:

Signatures seem really fun but I haven't planned on what to do for mine yet, i feel like there's a lot of potential for it..  :omg:

My dad was a huuuge computer nerd back in the day (he still is, lol he literally fixes and builds arcade machines and pinballs  :ok:  :ok: ) because of our age gap he has a lot of phrases similar like this from online or weird online references.
For a long time he was referencing the uh strongbad popular girls skit where they go "SOOO GOOD!!" but i had no idea because his impression was so bad but i was used to hearing him say that all the damn time  :drat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJsqv3JStWI

one of the more prominent ones is definitely LEET culture, it made a comeback because of homestuck but its just not nearly the same as it was before. one day at mcdonalds we got a receipt and the number was like "1337" and my dad was just sooo excited that it was that number (because it looks like leet)

you can find a lot of grand examples of l33tspeak on the imood forums in like 2001 if you backread enough. there is a key difference between past leetspeak compared to present day leetspeak but im not sure how to put it into words other than "homestuckification" ?? ??  :dunno:  :dunno:
