In my town we have Kekri celebration on the first Saturday of November, the remnants of the old harvest festival. Big goat is built out of straw and transported to the middle of the river. People gather on the shores to watch as it is lit on fire and it burns down. There are stands of people selling their crafts and carts selling street food and warm soup & drinks. I know a few other towns have since picked up the goat burning, but I'm pretty sure we started this. And no, this has nothing to do with the Gävle goat.

I have revived my old Fate/hollow ataraxia save from my old laptop. Maybe time to finally continue playing after years, I'm somewhere around 27%.

Hmm I only do it because I need to eat. I'm not very good at it. I can't practice anything nicer either because I only ever cook/bake for myself. Recipes are usually for multiple people like pie or cake, I can't eat all of that alone.

Lenovo products have failed me so I probably wouldn't pick one but I guess if you're mostly browsing the web it might work?

When I explore a web ring, and the next page doesn't have the widget so I can't continue. (Yesterweb+ fixes this for their web ring, but there's nothing for the others)

It's annoying if the menu is difficult to find (maybe it doesn't exist?) and then if you click on the menu to go to a different section, the menu disappears so you need to return to the front page with the browser's back button to browse the other links.

I was born in 98 and I started actively surfing the internet at around 5-6 years old, so basically as soon as I could read and write. I never made a website on Geocities but I did visit some sites that were on there. Missed Myspace because I didn't know English. I made my own websites on different places other than Geocities. That was my childhood and preteen years. As a teen I was mostly on Tumblr. I feel like it still has a bit of that old vibe available though visually if you want to design your blog that way.

I've definitely been in a bad year recently... But I've thought it's stories. The ability to experience so many wonderful tales, ancient and new. I also love hoarding information of the most random stuff

(Since somebody mentioned hiking,) I live in a region with many hills since it was a mountain range millions of years ago (see, a random fact). This year I decided I want climb to the peak of as many of them as I can. I climbed Vuokatinvaara last autumn. Now I just need to wait for the snow to melt (the paths could be slippery). The scenery is breathtaking even though they're not mountains.

But family and friends are the most important aren't they. Couldn't survive without them.

I agree that personal sites and fansites are way more fun than social media. I think most people find it too complicated though and want to go the easier and more popular route.

Nowadays I'm a grumpy grandpa shaking my cane at "kids" and their 5-seconds-long rapid-fire edits where you can barely see the character before it's over and half the frames are repeating, I mean sure they're also complicated to make (I've tried! My respect!), but where's the fun in that? I still make my AMVs (etc.) long, even though they're out of fashion

I guess it's easier to avoid copyright with the short things vs full song as well as heavy editing vs clips getting caught in content ID? I kind of stopped making AMVs when everything got removed for copyright. Nowadays my videos are like 10 seconds and the audio is something funny and I make the characters on screen say it. Way less of a hassle ^^'''
