If you have an online store powered by a popular platform, then yep, spam is a thing. Sadly the contact form with my business email up on it gets spammed horrendously. So much so I even left a message saying you will be deleted and they still don't care lmaoooo. So that's one exception here. But I've made a handy dandy filter so thankfully I only see like 1 come through my main inbox every few weeks now.
I'm cancing my arm at sharing this cos this absolutely is a form of self-promotion in the big sea of paid for ads when you can't afford to do much paid marketing and just trying to get your work out there ;;;
It may not be to yer tastes either because the site itself isn't retro web revival. It's my main website and online shop for all my art, comics and anything else I've made
I mainly have prints of F1, anime, manga and video game fan art, some original comics, LGBTQIA keychains, badges and stickers and more.
If ye know anyone that would be into this kind of thing or my style, I'd be forever grateful if ye passed along this link to have them check it out. Thank you!
Oh boy, I really get spoiled every year by my family and I get an awful lot of stuff ;; I'm very grateful always for it because we want to spoil each other after a long year. This year was a bit more poignant as 2 months prior, my nan passed away.
I got a beautiful bronze heart pendant. Within the pendant are some of her ashes. I got a Christmas card from her that she got before she passed, and a small music box that plays "You Are My Sunshine" from her too. Tears were shed, and they still are. It was weird she wasn't with us this Christmas, but I'm so thankful to have enjoyed one final summer with her.
Then, I got a Tamagotchi Smart, a Bratz doll, some Japanese Sylvanian Families, a Real Littles suitcase, some Sonic toys including the Green Hill Zone Lego and some Thomas & Friends designed model buses and trains (yes, I know I'm an adult, and I justify it by getting all the toys I wanted as a child! :grin:smile: And one of those incense burners that trails the smoke like a waterfall, an Aston Martin Sebastian Vettel t-shirt, and some star earrings. I'm certain I got more, but I can't remember ;;;
Welcome to the forum! I'm sorry to hear about your health set back hindering your desire to draw. I do hope it eases soon, and that you can get back in there and have some fun with it very soon
I am more of a gelato person myself, but ice cream's still great. For me, mint chocolate, any ice cream that's blue colour, raspberry and strawberry are king.
Oh wow. I'll be honest, I haven't heard of much of these at all! I knew about the Japanese mountain drifting, but had zero idea of the other series. I know there's Sail GP, but powerboat racing sounds intense! I also had no idea there was a European NASCAR series!
Now there would be some series that I wouldn't be keen to check out on a regular basis, namely MotoGP just cos of the frequent fatalities it can have. Bad enough Anthoine Hubert's crash in Formula 2 really affected me.
HAIGO sounds super cool, I must day. I'd love to see what they can do with old parts and engines.
The progress is amazing, especially considering how good the original is. I love the crisp lines and use of texture, and the colours make me think of a 70s funk video.
Thank you very much! I don't know what made me choose those colours first time round, but it did feel very retro which felt worked well here.
Yeah for me it was a mix of browsing most popular and new websites on Neocities, as well as exploring the tags. Also, the YesterWeb webring, and clicking on buttons on whatever website I was currently on.
So... who here likes motorsport? Have you got a particular series you're fond of, or enjoy a mix of different series?
I'm primarily a Formula 1 nut. My favourite drivers being Daniel Ricciardo and Lewis Hamilton. I got to go to the British Grand Prix in Silverstone back in 2019 (I have a photo album of it here!)
I also love Formula E and I'm very excited because it starts next weekend and it's always free to watch live on YouTube! I love Stoffel Vandoorne and Jake Dennis in particular.
I like watching the Indy 500 too, even though I'm bad keeping up with the actual IndyCar series. Of course I love Romain Grosjean, but also Colton Herta, Pato O'Ward and Takuma Sato.
I haven't shared a piece of mine here previously, so I thought, why not? I don't know if I would be spamming the forum if I end up making a new topic for every piece I make (could I make a HayleyMulch art topic? :eyes:smile:
Well, I had covid and I was going off my game. Just lying in bed isolating. But then I saw great news that Skunkape are finally remastering Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse. It's one of my favourite games of all time. So I decided to do a redraw of a piece I did 13 years ago in 2010! It's the main women cast of the games.
Alt text: Digital illustration of Sybil Pandemik, Girl Stinky and Dr. Momma Bosco from Sam & Max. It's in a minimalist style where they are coloured using only pastel red, yellow and green. The illustration is like a retro-styled comic book page where each character is in their own panel.
Here's the original from 2010! Alt text: The same image as above but it was drawn in 2010 and has a more cartoony-anime style.
I was very happy with this cos not only have I grown a lot, but my chronic pain was very minimal drawing this!
Also, I'm not looking for any critique here on this piece, by the way. If I ever do look for critique, I will mention it in future posts. But this is just something from the heart for a series I adore!
Hiya! There is a lot here, but that's kinda the fun of it. Not everything may interest you, and feel free to start any conversation on your favourite topics! Digging your website too, by the way!
