I haven't listened to NIN since "The Slip". I got into them around the time "Year Zero" came out, and "Ghosts I-IV" is the only instrumental album I've ever fallen in love with. I'll have to check out their more recent stuff.

Their recent stuff is pretty damn good, though it's been few and far between usually. On the topic of Ghosts I-IV, they released a followup to it sometime ago. Ghosts V: Together and Ghosts VI: Locusts.

Recently bought Nine Inch Nails' 'Fixed' a few days ago. It's a handful of remixes of their prior album, Broken. Has some pretty neat remixes of i say so myself. Been slowly chipping away at collecting the entire discography of NIN (also known as HALO releases) as well as the discography of Godspeed You! Black Emperor :)

I'd be down with joining a minecraft server! Minecraft for me comes and goes in phases, right now im on a big binge (partly due to playing it heavily modded and partly due to some friends working on a survival modpack) so, hell yeah

Yaknow its funny i literally just watched a video about how Tom Scott wanted to fix some problems with his emails and then it turned into him asking an AI to make code to fix them, and then it became existential in a way.

This technology is cool but damn, kinda terrifying at the same time. Though yeah I can definiteyl see it being good for people getting started with making their sites. My only concern is everyone making websites that all look the samey.

First i've heard of it, might give it a cursory glance later. I know there was a previous attempt at an anime of Junji Ito's works that was rather mediocre unfortunately.

On the plus side, I'm excited for the upcoming Uzumaki adaptation. That one looks like it'll be really friggin good.

Been playing Minecraft, modded actually! All The Mods 8, which adds... well, a whole metric load of mods for minecraft. Really goddamn fun.
ALongside that I've been playing plenty of Ultrakill, been waiting for the up-and-coming update that adds a new secret level & a very very hard boss, so, been excited for that!

Might be a cliched answer but I'm tempted to say Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon. All of the tracks are consistently great and wonderful to me!

I'm not too deeply immersed in the backrooms lore, but I love this style of creepypasta/internet mythology generation. It's similar to Slenderman or SCP to me. Getting to see the invention of new lore, cryptids and other spoopy things is always fascinating.

The backrooms may have become too gamified, but given how it started maybe that was to be expected.

Honestly, while I enjoy SCP stuff, the gamification and SCP-ification of The Backrooms detracts from it imo. Like I said in my cohost rant, I rather prefer the whole idea of being lost in a place that's uncaring, neither hindering nor helping you in you being lost, that sort of thing.





That being said, this style of internet mythology generation has been pretty neat as a whole.

Have you ever read House of Leaves? It was written way before the Backrooms got started, but there are a lot of similarities. It's a piece of avant garde horror fiction, so it will not be for everyone, but it does a good job of capturing that feeling of bizarreness where nothing makes sense and you shouldn't be there. Based on your rant, I think it's what you feel like the Backrooms should be.

I also like seeing the growth of new mythologies, and I thought it was a great idea when it first got started. Like all things, the internet culture machine will grind it into the ground, but I usually just wait and let things percolate until most of what's left are the good parts.

I should consider looking into House Of Leaves, sounds interesting just from what you've said here about it.
Yeah, I hope that things settle down around The Backrooms so that most of what's left is the good parts, based on a convo or two I've had on cohost, thats a possibility of what will come to pass. So, crossing my fingers on that.
