seeking a worldbuilding/character-making buddy!!!

i'm lucy or courtney, either is fine!

i've been in a creative rut like nobody's business so maybe the answer is to get some fresh blood in my creative circles... let's make ocs together and talk headcanons, worldbuilding, etc.! i'm probably not super interested in rp right now, but love to natter about ocs and build characters and settings together.

i'm not looking for: minors (i'm 30 i'm too old; ideally i'd like to work with someone 25+!), explicit nsfw/smut (romance + suggestive content is okay), rp, rp groups (MAYBE i could be sold on a SMALL arpg), grimdark settings, cyberpunk, scifi, furry/anthro-only (idc if that's the character you wanna make but i don't like drawing them enough to make my character one lol)

i am interested in:

• settings: fantasy (mainly "medieval" fantasy but i am happy to do settings based on non-european cultures, and can maybe be convinced into urban fantasy), cottagecore/harvest moon/farming rpg-like settings, pokémon fandom (namely as trainers rather than mystery dungeon or gijinka settings), solarpunk
• elements: witches, royalty, adventures, knights, magic and learning it, little rpg-style towns, circuses
• themes: the power of friendship, hope and light even in the darkness, slice of life, upbeat tones, tragedy with catharsis
• character dynamics: grumpy + sunshine, apprentice + mentor, knight + liege, traveling companions

i'm open to one-on-one chat or getting a small group together of people with common interests to build a world and a cast together! i prefer to build characters for a world, so i won't be importing any of my existing characters into our project, but you can look at them to see what kind of characters i generally like to write/create i suppose!! mostly i write women though lol...

none of these lists are exhaustive, just a li'l bit to give you an idea of what i like!!

hi there, i absolutely LOVEEEEEEEE worldbuilding and oc making too!! we have very similar tastes in this kinda thing- I am a huge fan of both fantasy settings and POKEMON!!!!! i love adding my own hcs to the pokemon world, aahh... those themes and dynamics and stuff are all so fun too! i'd be very, VERY happy to chat about this kinda stuff with you, please feel free to pm me anytime!!

While I'm a bit younger than you (20) and I'm a bit late to this post (I joined like 3 days ago), I'd like to extend an offer -- me :D
I've been making OCs and worldbuilding as long as I can remember, including everything from fully fleshed-out dynamic magic systems to one character's powers being explained over 8 pages, a programmed google sheet, and a second longer document to constructed languages for fantasy worlds and nations to maps to SCP and backrooms to non-magical fantasy characters and how they live in worlds of magic. I enjoy all of this, but since I got into University I've had to slow down on that sort of thing. I'd love to start picking it back up again and making new worlds, characters, languages, and ability and magic systems. Having someone else to make these things with and for would not only help with motivation, but also inspiration.
I've been into pokemon since I was a kid, and have been a fan of the competitive scene for several years. I've made my own teams, competed in small tournaments against friends, and have done extensive research into this stupid little blue gator with eyes the size of tuna.
I also took a little time to check out your website. I'm also a major fan of many different TTRPGs over the years including D&D, Thirsty Sword Lesbians, Cyberpunk: Red, Roll for Shoes, and Monster of the Week.
Regardless, I would love to make some characters and do some silly worldbuilding (or serious worldbuilding your choice).

a bit about me: i'm alex, i'm 25, and i'm a semi-professional writer of various mediums, but whimsical, character-driven fantasy has always been my one true love. pbp fantasy roleplay was my initial introduction to writing at all, actually, back on the forums of my youth! i'm also quite drawn to solarpunk, have a couple pokemon trainer ocs, and have written WAY too much medieval-adjacent shenanigans over the years, so it sounds like there's a lot of overlap between me, you, and the others on this thread hehe (and @demiurgeQuantified i ALSO am a huge fan of getting way too into pokemon headcanons!!)

like @IceBear, my ability to just creatively "doodle" and such has taken a nosedive over the last few years, but i'm finally done my undergrad and i've missed it... i wanna make little guys and play toys with them! so my PMs're open if anyone would like to connect ^_^
