I'm working on my first webfiction story! still trying to find my own style of storytelling/webdesign, so it's all very experimental and still very homestuckey lol. But things are going pretty great ig! I wrote 15 pages today!
It's called Liminalia! Can't say a lot about the plot yet, but I'm very proud of the format I'm testing on! I'm planning to make a more detailed post about it later, but basically, alike the general hypertext fiction format, where you get this crazy multilinearity thing, which is great but A) can result in a very confuse plot which isn't what I want for my stories and B) can become a REALLY HARD narrative to keep(with all the multiple links and side-plots), especially in a serialized format, I'm approaching it in a "fake non-linearity" way. You're still following a linear narrative, but with pieces of various points of the story, that seem to make sense in the context, but are actually keypoints of other side-narratives. Eventually, you get all the pieces together and the process is way more organic.
I guess. I just started yesterday lol.

@NoxidKin your site is lovely! adding it to my buttons page(reserved to the coolest websites B)) What kind of game you're working on? Got curious :0 lol I try to make games too but nothing exceptional. wish you the best of lucks! wanna be frends? :3 (hehe frends)

EDIT: @cake I'M READING RRR RIGHT NOW AND I'M IN LOVE WITH YOUR STYLE! The characters are charming, the colors are vibrant, and the whole uhh "webflow" if you get what I mean is so cool! i really liked the journal logs style of narration! looking foward for new updates!
added to the list of COOL INSPIRATIONS! :DDD also how did you do the bfos and funfetti jr. flashback panels? is it hand-drawn? if its digital PLEASE TELL ME HOW U CONJURED SUCH BEAUTIFUL LOOKING ART??

Right now, I'm cookin' away on my cosplay gallery. I'm trying to work on the new look for the index.https://wolfkitty42.nekoweb.org/cosplaygallery/cosplayindex.html Unfortunately, I'm having a weird issue... For some reason, the image + Text aren't going into their div? I'm not really sure what the problem is. If anyone has advice or spots the bug happening, please let me know! I have no clue what's causing the issue. Also don't mind the magenta haha. It's just so I can see the dimensions right now.

My goal is to finish the index, then move onto the various characters. I'm probably going to have a miscellaneous gallery, and a couple dedicated galleries for characters I cosplay more often. I want the dedicated galleries to be themed around the character.

I've been working on my website for a while and I'm just not satisfied with the look. I'd love some suggestions or any help!
It's a NeoCities site which does make some things pretty annoying (wish PHP worked) but I've had a pleasant experience web-crafting :)
How do you (the reader) think I could improve or fill out the website a little bit?

I just recently finished fixing up my css, since I changed themes. My next objective is creating graphics (everywhere is littered with a placeholder which is this :drat: ) I’m thinking of making some little props with clay!

After that I intend to upload more images to my gallery, set up the nav page differently, and add a language switch between English and Portuguese for everything.

I've added a couple of things to my small site, Eunice Town. I will keep looking at Neocities/Nekoweb sites for inspiration, and then end up falling down the rabbit hole!

Right now I am trying to watch the remaining tv shows, read the remaining books, and playthrough Elden Ring to finish the first section of my site. I have a website where I review the most acclaimed works in various mediums, and I want to tackle the lists 10 by 10 by 10. The site is a companion site to five sites that are just out there on their own, no selling on them just cool sites.

Oh man, that looks super cool! A little funky on mobile, but you can pinch to zoom at least. I love how textured the whole site looks, it feels like the really smooth concrete they use on the inside of modern buildings. It still says "2024" at the bottom of the site though :skull:, I get around that by just putting the date as 1990 on my site :p

My phone screen died, completely by my own fault. I've spent the past few days migrating my stuff over to a new phone - the exact same model. With all this stuff I've gotten back into the world of phone customising. It's small compared to the things you can do on a PC, but it feels satisfying nonetheless. :chef:

I discovered Twine not too long ago. Been having fun with it such that I made a small introduction to another website I have here:
Cosmic Kits

It's sort of a weird multimedia frankenstein at this point started by my wife and I. and I think this little Twine intro gave it some extra pizazz.

I'm currently continuing to write my characters as well as their world lore. I already made huge progress the last couple of days  :loved: Hopefully, I can move on to character profiles that are currently still grey soon; they've been untouched for years now, literally. Its a lot of work and requires a lot of energy for me to organize and write. Making sure everything makes sense, too.. I had this issue repeatedly that details don't match between characters and the world lore... my goodness its a braincell marathon lmao

One of my sites is Street Fighter Paradise and it's a fan site for the old Street Fighter table-top RPG put out by White Wolf way back in 1994. It's also where I host my fan-made 20th Anniversary edition of the game I put out way back in 2015. Anyways, lately I've been scrubbing through all of the old fan sites of the game so I can update my Links page and of course, being so old, the game has a lot of sites that used to be on GeoCities or are otherwise dead links. Fortunately, the Wayback Machine exists, so you can still link to these sites. Among the old sites I found, though, were two sites associated with friends of mine: Goutetsu's Street Fighter Role Playing page was hosted on Tripod and now is full of a bunch of spammy injected ad scripts, and Street Fighter Revised was a page that used to be hosted on the web space provided by my dial-up ISP! I had a friend that used it.

So, I decided to download my friend's Tripod site and scrape out all of the ad junk, then I rendered his MIDI files to mp3s and put them in modern audio tags so they'd play again. He had some old Java applet to render a menu, so I worked out what I thought it did and reimplemented it in straight HTML, and now it resides under my web space. I let him know so he could host it all himself again if he ever wanted to. With the site from my old ISP, I found a program that lets you download sites from the Wayback Machine, then put it all under my site as well. Just preserving some stuff.

Then, the Street Fighter RPG scene chats on a Facebook Group and I told them about this, and I encouraged members to dig up their old sites if they had one, and to host them on Neocities (or any other free host). Surprisingly, I was able to find someone who had saved all of their various RPG sites from back in the day and he tossed them all up, so that felt pretty neat. He had pages for Street Fighter, Mekton, Fuzion, Cyberpunk 2020 and Mutants and Masterminds. So that's awesome. It's cool to see old sites come back to life.
