i live in the southern area of the US and I think my favorite foods from around here are banana pudding and pecan pie!

and cornbread, of course, u cant be southern without liking cornbread (/j)

mmm I have a southern background too and omg soul food has my heart. I be TEARING UP some steamed okra. I don't like regular cornbreak (SHOCKER) it just doesn't taste the same as when I was little. I LOVE hot water cornbread though. I've had pepper steak as a birthday course for my 15th and 16th birthdays. I just love it so much

It's not exactly clear what all of my origins are--

Uh.. besides that, I enjoy the Irish-American soda bread my mother makes each year.

oh yeah, I understand that! I still get confused when my grandma brings up creole family members, no idea whether or not we're creole  :drat:
Soda bread is delish! One of my classmates in grade school was Irish and brought in some soda bread for show and tell, some quality bread I tell ya whut (hank hill voice)

I'm from an incredibly mixed family, but my ma grew up in Vietnam, and man, I love me some Chicken Pho. I'm not big on beef personally, but chicken is just so tasty and so heart-warming (is that even a correct term for food??? lol)

Pork buns too. Mmmm

Pho is so good! There's a local Vietnamese place in my state and they make the best pho and spring rolls, the boba is amazing as well! I choose the egg noodles  :loved:

Italian here, you'd be surprised to hear that I don't like many traditional Italian foods, but they do make good ice cream! :ozwomp:

Well it's no secret I'm a Kainuu Finn. My favourite foods connected to this region specifically... I'd say, Kainuu fish soup, I like salmon. It utilizes rye flour. Another is rönttönen. It's a little pie that fits on your palm. The crust is of rye and the filling of potato and lingonberries. If someone ever asked me "what does a forest taste like?" my answer would definitely be, like a rönttönen.
