I dunno about you guys, but I have certain songs that totally fit the autumn vibe for me, so I listen to them religiously during the season.

Personally, my autumn music is either indie/folk or just hard rock lol,, kind of a weird spectrum but it gives good feels.

Sooo what kinda music do you guys like to listen to during the autumn/winter? :transport:

:ha: ooooh!! what a good question!! <3

i like indie and folk music for fall too! hard rock is fall-ish too... you really hit the nail on the head there for me :dive:

the MOST autumn song ever in the entire world has to be "Mae's House" from the Night In The Woods OST! Most of that OST is very autumnal given that the game is set in the fall ^_^

most video game OSTs that have seasonal music are pretty good to listen to as well, but that's obvious isn't it ^^;

i wish i had more songs to list here >:T i will keep thinking!!

what are some of your favorite fall songs specifically in the genres you listed? what makes them feel like fall?

xoxo, lolo =3

I'm definitely in agreement on the notion of the Night In The Woods OST being great, but the ideal autumn music to me is 100% the obvious choice of Autumn by Andrew Huang. Its a gorgeous folk-rock album that has a unique vibe about it. Its from a four-part series with one album for every season. Winter is probably the best one in my opinion, but it has more filler stuff in it that lowers the overall score below Autumn, which ultimately ends up placing it slightly below Autumn.

Some of the best of the album:
  • "Brandish" is just the peak of autumn vibes to me. That traditional instrumentation is so memorable
  • "Lantern" is second only to Brandish, it has very similar instrumentation but way more gentle folk-y vibes.
  • "O! What A Lie!" is by far the best song on the album to me. The bass was more than enough to sell me on it, but the vocals certainly help.

I highly recommend you listen to the entire album, it is a deeply pleasant and somehow nostalgic listen. If you enjoy this, I recommend listening to Winter, but skip "Agatha", "Alexandra", "Her Majesty", and "Victoria". They're just boring filler love ballads that don't really lyrically or instrumentally suit the aesthetic of the album in my opinion; without them, the album is an easy 9 or 10 out of ten.

when i think of autumn my mind immediately goes to synthesis by evanescence, the open door by evanescence (although certain songs on there could be seen as more winter or spring), and blackwater park by opeth. they're my go-to albums for the season, especially synthesis ^_^

I listen to it at every season, but I find it very autumnish.

Ohhh my god, The Paper Kites and The Crane Wives are peak autumn-folk, imo, they're on my autumn playlist till the end of time  :dog:
