I have three lobe piercings ("normal" ear piercings) on each side, so six. Only use two of them, the others thankfully don't grow shut so occasionally I use them as well.
I used to have a rook piercing, but it wouldn't heal over years and developed a small keloid. I think the angle and me sleeping on it occasionally just didn't work out. I took it out.
I have a tragus piercing I am very happy with but admittedly I forget its existence 99.9% of the time  I've been telling myself to get nicer jewelry for it since... like 6 years now? Maybe soon. Rosegold!

I also used to have two nipple piercings. I liked the aesthetic of it, but sadly they were incompatible with the changes that area goes through during my cycle. Hormonal fluctuations seemed to aggravate them, even though they healed rather quickly (they can take up to 2 years to heal fully, mine were pretty much done after 1 year and were pretty comfortable after 6 months already).
Since people are usually curious about that: Getting them pierced hurts a lot less than you think. A lot less than going through cartilage, in my opinion. I was able to sleep on them a few days in. While other piercings hurt on and off for days while they healed, those really only hurt during the piercing process and if I accidentally bumped them. At some point I took them out; was just not worth it anymore to have angry piercings once a month.

Btw for tattoos there is also https://forum.melonland.net/index.php?topic=1316.msg14937#msg14937

I think I will never get a tattoo. I love the idea, but I only really like the fresh tattoo look, when it's still very black, very sharp, and is not healed yet. And that is impossible to keep up, even with taking really good care of it and potentially being lucky with how the body reacts to it. I've been thinking of really dainty, thin finger tattoos though, just some tiny stars or a little double venus; don't mind if it disappears off of my fingers. But the blurring can be pretty intense on the fingers...

i have only one piercing atm, one on my anti tragus, id love to get more though! iv had my lobes pierced once when i was young, they closed up but getting them reopened would be cool. as for other piercings, im thinking of getting another anti tragus, and one on the other side to match, an industrial, snakebites and maybe my eyebrow.

i like the idea of tattoos, but im mever sure what i want. a sleeve with a cool tenticle/spooky eye design would be neat but somthing like that would be out of my price range, iv thought of going to school or a mentorship to learn how to actually use a gun myself too xd

aside from basic ear lobes, I'd consider myself to currently have two piercings - upper lobes on each ear (lobe piercings come as a pair I reckon, they count as one) and my septum.

the septum was the easiest thing to heal, it didn't bump on anything nor could I accidentally sleep on it. didn't even hurt to get it pierced! it feels like a part of my body now, and I wouldn't give it up for any reason. it's weird to imagine that I thought I'd end up hating it.

I used to have one on my helix, but in retrospect the jewellery was shorter than it probably should've been and I didn't do the best job at caring for it. every couple of months, I could feel it flaring up, and in the end it wasn't worth the effort to salvage it. sad. now all I'm left with is a slight bump on the back of my ear, and the lingering fear of trying out another cartilage piercing.

that fear can't be all too bad, though, since I do want my conch done pretty soon! god I've wanted this for years now. y'know when people put hoops in those that hug the side of their ears? aren't they gorgeous? other than that, all I have planned is a vertical labret. not too sure about tattoos for myself, I like the freedom of being able to change piercings to your style that tattoos don't allow for. maybe a dumb little cat would look nice, though, or something equally as silly.

oh my gosh i can finally contribute to conversations like this yayyy!!!
it took me until my mid-20s to finally bite the bullet regarding even the most basic of body mods and such. last year, though, i rather impulsively allowed my girlfriend to pierce my ears in our bathroom with one of the cheapo piercing kits from amazon. i don't recommend this, for the record: only reason it worked is because i'd had my ears pierced as a baby, so there was a point of reference to keep them even, and my girlfriend has several piercings so they're very used to aftercare.
as for tattoos... i currently have two!
the first tattoo i ever got was of my beloved cat, onyx. here she is sitting next to it, looking quite pleased.

i also recently celebrated my formal debut as a playwright, with my play faye's room being staged in november. to celebrate, i got two major symbols from the play put together and tattooed on me.

i'm REALLY happy with how both of these turned out, and can't wait to get more!!

I have my lobes pierced, but they sit empty 99% of the time. I can get jewelry into them, but I have to be very slow and gentle. I'd eventually like to get some flat-backed earrings to leave in there to open them back up properly.

Besides them, I have snakebites. Didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought they would, and I was able to get both done at the same time. I pinched for a second, then felt hot. It was actually worse getting them sized-up, since I swelled up a lot more than my piercer anticipated, but after that they were chill.

I'd really like to get a bridge piercing and a septum piercing in the future. My piercer confirmed I have good anatomy for both. Unfortunately though, I've since moved pretty far away from her, and I'm really picky about who I see, so I'm either going to wait until I find a new place I really really like, or until I can go back to visit.

As for tattoos, I am currently naked :(
I would really like to get '香蕉' (xiangjiao; Chinese for "banana") on the back of my left calf, but I'm pretty scared. Piercings are easy - one-second pinch and it's done. But a tattoo you have to sit still for, and I don't know how my body would handle it with my sensory issues. I am determined to get it someday, I'm just procrastinating for now xD
