Dibs:
I love finding albums designed for straight-through listening!

My personal favourites are Marianas Trench's most recent four albums (Masterpiece Theatre, Astoria, Ever After, and Phantoms). I believe it's Ever After which has smooth transitions between tracks, with orchestral interludes.  I don't like many of the songs by themselves or to listen to in a playlist, but as part of their albums they really work for me.

I also recently went down the Hypnospace Outlaw rabbithole and ended up on Gathered Out Of Thin Air by Half-Handed Cloud, which is a weird, interesting album with about a million short tracks that are absolutely not designed for playlists. The only one I have put on a playlist is the track I came for in the first place, Nativity Costume (2000 Year's Eve). I should relisten...

almostcorporeal:
Glass Animals' Zaba and How to be a Human Being primarily

Also:
Fields of the Nephilim's Dawnrazor
Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds' Let Love In + Henry's Dream
Madonna's eponymous first album + Like A Virgin
Autechre's Chiastic Slide
Hole's Pretty On The Inside
VNV Nation's Advance and Follow
Craft Spells' Nausea
A Tribe Called Quest's Midnight Marauders
Gotye's Boardface
Hozier's eponymous album
La Dispute's Somewhere At The Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair
Rush's Signals
salvia palth's melanchole

in general i prefer to listen to full albums rather than playlists, but these are like. my tops lol
