Update:

I am going to take a break from working on the game again. Aside from Art Fight season coming up, I am also away for Vacay between June 20th and July 6th. I am away for Quebec and Ontario during this time.

What does this mean? You won't really expect any new footage for a while. I'll get back to working on it sometime in August/September.

Been looking through your project bit by bit the past month or so, really fun to see. The visuals really remind me of Kirby's Dreamland 3. Very cool art style! Looking forward to see more updates after your break!  :ozwomp:

Tysm! I'm glad you really like the visuals of the game (and I appreciate the Kirby comparisons as well since that series is a huge inspo for it). I currently have some plans made already for when I come back, and three of these (NPC interaction rework, cutscenes, and boss fights) are major priorities right now.

A: I'm planning for it to have the vibe of being on an adventure, combined with some drama and comedy. I'm thinking more like Kirby music with a hint of Fire Emblem and Toby Fox in them. Some of the character themes would be based on the nursery rhymes they're based on. For example, this song I made covers the entire melody of Hickory Dickory Dock for the first half of the song, while the other half is my own melody. To be honest, I find it hard to make the songs sound and flow good without having a lot of experience (Not that I don't have any anyways), but that's something that I need to work on a bit more unless I hire a musician.
