Does anyone here play any cute mobile games? Like, cute art, cute concept, nothing too grindy etc.

I've got Neko Atsume, but I'm not really that into it. It's cute, and I like checking in before bedtime, but there's not much to "play".

I also really like Usagi Shima. I def reccommend people try it if they like cute games. The art style is adorable and it's similar to Neko Atsume, except you can actually do stuff in the game. My only gripes were that I would get sort of stressed by the constant wants of the bunnies, always wanting pats, photos or play hide-and-seek (which was so stressful, oh my god.) And I really hope the map will expand, cause mine is already super crowded, lol.

How about you fine melon folks? Any reccs for mobile games that are mainly cute, not grindy/stressful etc?  :transport:

I've always been a big fan of that animal crossing mobile game, Pocket Camp.

Every time i bring it up people are negative about it since they really push microtransactions (which are worth basically nothing), but if you ignore that the game is still very fun and rewarding to play.

I personally have been playing since launch and i recommend it to almost everyone i meet.

Oh yeh! I've been considering it, but I just didnt get into it because my screen is so small, I feel like I wouldn't get the real vibe of it. My sister plays it on a tablet, and has for years. She loves it, and doesnt care about the microtransactions. Apparently there are loads of super cute objects in that game that still have not made their way to the NH, lol.

Do websites count? I'm on one called Chicken Smoothie and there's some really cute pets on there :)

Game wise, um, does Candy Crush count 😅
Nah, it can get a little stressful

Papa Louie Pals is fun if you played Papa Louie games whenever you were younger, it's a fun lil dressup game where you can make your own lil Papa Louie characters and put em in scenes

i used to have neko atsume but eventually uninstalled it for similar reasons - there really wasn't a whole lot to do. it's nice for what it is, though. i'm not much of a mobile gamer in general these days, but two similar-looking games i always have recommended to me are "animal restaurant" and "cat snack bar". perhaps something like those would be up your alley? i might even give them a try myself!

i used to play pocket camp a lot! some friends from school showed it to me around the time it launched and i played for a few years. it's a pretty chill game. i've considered redownloading it and this thread might get me to do so :O

I play it on an iPhone 13 and it looks pretty snazzy, idk what screen size you're working with tho. And most of the furniture is exclusive to ACPC, since there are seasonal events where you can get special furniture with limited obtainability.

There was recently a rerun of the Sanrio collab that people had been waiting for over a year to return. Every month has three different events that each have their own items so it's tough to run out of things to do.  :chef:

I became very addicted to Amaru: The Self-Care Pet - the description in the app store is:
Feed, pet, customize, and play minigames with the adorable Amaru while being rewarded for taking care of yourself! The game contains engaging goal-setting, mindfulness, and journal activities that provide a fun way to build focus and resilience to stress, anxiety, and depression.

I love it so much, but wish there was more content being produced for it. It's helped me through a few bad panic attacks honestly, and I adore the premise of caring for an otherworldly creature and getting therapy through the audio sessions. It's really great, though I think it would have more potential if the devs did more with it... I've been using it for years and I've not seen much new stuff added sadly.

Oooh that sounds interesting. Sad about how it seems to be left abandoned, but the idea sounds intriguing.

Wow that does sound like it's still pretty active and going strong. My sister is also like, she doesn't understand where all the negativity comes from. She hasn't spent a dollar on the game, but has SO much content and has been playing for so long and her game is packed with stuff. Meanwhile she has to pay for the online service to play ACNH (for the online bits only? or all..idk how that works) but still, that's crazy imo. Anyone who scoffs at ACPC for having microtransactions, but pays for the online service at Nintendo....clowns, haha.

Any game by Kairosoft!

They do a lot of sim type games where you're managing a a kingdom or a company or a place and have to take care of the citizens/employees and stuff like that.

The one I get hooked on is Epic Astro Story. You send a group of colonists to another planet and have to help them build a settlement and stuff. All the Kairosoft games have these cute graphics for the people and the town elements. I love cute little graphics!

Customcast is just a repackaging of the character creator from the porn game Custom Maid 3D2 which totally put me off from it. I like Vroid Studio instead, you own the characters you make in it to use however you want.

I've been really into cozy puzzle games like Eyes Nonograms, I Love Hue, and SHAPES. They're good games for the moments between other stuff happening, which suits how I use my phone.

It's not officially in service, but I still like to mess around with Miitomo through the Kaerutomo server. It doesn't have that much from the original service still available, and it's buggy, but I like to dress up and take pictures of my Mii. It's possible to rip Mii models from the game, so I'd like to have one to use for stuff like VRChat.
