Hello!!
It was my birthday yesterday (I am now 23
), and I decided to get myself a present!
I've always loved things that never quite took off in the mainstream, but hoped to be massive, I think they're super charming. Thus, I find Swatch's whole internet time system super appealing. So, I am now the proud owner of a 1999 Swatch Beat NET-TIME watch!
It's a gorgeous blue and yellow, and came in full working condition, practically new in box box, for only £20!
(Sorry for the... dubious photo quality, I also got a Casio camera for my birthday & am still getting to grips with it
)
A few of my favourite features are:
- The inclusion of Swatch Internet time (obviously!)
- Every function having a cute little icon (i.e. the stopwatch is a little rabbit, there's a secondary travel clock with a little plane)
- If you press one of the buttons a certain number of times (I forget which), it plays a little animation of a dog chasing a stick!...At least, I think its that. The screen is rather small...
- It comes with a built in Y2K countdown timer with a little bomb icon. The manual says you can change it to count down to any date post Y2K, but it just makes me giggle.
Here's a pic from the official Swatch website of a bit higher clarity:
Anyway, I'm glad I got something so cool!! Now I can sit and stare at it whenever the forum shuts X]
