Hey there! :4u:

I'm very happy and honored to join this wonderful little community
Yes, I'm yet another person who is missing the old days of the web, that long, (almost) forgotten golden age... But I've recently turned into a big believer in the idea that we can, in fact, resurrect it from the dead and make the internet into a creative, mysterious and magical place once again!

My main interests are anime/manga (mostly 90s and I have a soft spot for retro-Shoujo and CLAMP), books and movies (particularly horror!), video games (pretty much all) and I love talking about tech stuff, dreams, aliens or anything else that fires up my imagination!

I'm also currently trying to learn how to draw but I had a big setback recently due to health issues and now I'm trying to get back on track, it's so hard to do but it's my biggest goal now ;_;

So yeah, I'm your typical internet guy. Let's all be friendly and kind to each other :transport:

And Melooon, words couldn't describe how inspiring you are to me for all your work. You are the very definition of cool!

Hi Wings, welcome to to the forum! :4u:

There really is nothing better than a cozy fire and a bad horror movie! Im sorry to hear about your health issues, that sounds rough

If you ever make it to Kyoto, they have a really amazing manga museum that has a whole library of vintage comics you can read from the early 20th century onward; they had an exhibition of works by 80s/90s artist when I was there (sadly I don't remember the name); its totally worth a visit - they even have plaster casts of famous artists hands showing how they hold their pen/brush - I found those very interesting to study!

Thank you! I try to do what I love doing; often that makes life much harder than it otherwise could be, but I hope when I leave this world it wont be with regrets

Thank you Melon and Hayley!

Very interesting info indeed, I had no idea it existed! I'll surely visit this manga museum if I ever travel to Kyoto, I would love it. Hopefully one day! :cheerR:

Also, don't worry too much about my health issues  Truth be told, it is actually a drawing related injury that was caused by my own carelessness. I've been drawing on and off for a very long time, but at some point started to take it very seriously and took an online drawing course, which by then I've been drawing 4 hours a day every day for 4 months straight. What I unfortunately did not realize, was how bad it was for me to draw on a completely flat surface and on a bad chair. All these months of hunching over went right back at me and I got an extremely bad lower back pain as a result, and especially neck pain which caused me many other issues such as bad headaches, difficulty sleeping etc. Apparently a "Repetitive strain injury."

After 6 months (!) of pain and inability to focus on drawing I'm finally getting better and hopefully the pain and stiffness will soon go away completely. I'll also invest in a more ergonomic workspace.

I've learned the hard way how important proper posture is haha... Don't do my mistake!

Welcome! I watched Cardcaptor Sakura recently for the first time and really liked it

I'm happy to hear that! I'm a big Cardcaptor Sakura fan, this series means so much to me.
Watch and read "Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle" if you want to see more of Sakura and Syaoran. The anime is incomplete and not very well made, but it has the best soundtrack I've ever heard in my life, it captures the essence of the series so well. The manga itself is complete and absolutely fantastic.

Sure!

And I like pretty much all genres, but I would say my top games are Skyrim/Fallout New Vegas (although the combat did not age well for both), Dark Souls/Elden Ring, Yakuza 0/Like a Dragon... Though they hardly represent the range of experiences I'm willing to invest myself in. I've played tons of great games throughout the years so honestly I became kind of picky nowadays too, but I play anything I find fun that's what I'm trying to say :omg:k:

I also have special feelings towards fighting games and horror games, especially the obscure and strange. Nothing like spending hours upon hours learning a fighting game or playing a horror game alone at night with all the lights off
