Anniversary update for my website, waouh!

Salutations MelonLanders. I am new here to the MelonLand forum and not too familiar with it yet (unfortunately, none of the themes are really that easy for me to look at because my eyesight is poor) but I figured this is as relevant a first post as any.

breadavota.cafe, my funny webbed site has had its first anniversary yesterday (November 1) and to celebrate I completely revamped its Index page. Not only does it have a cool new illustration but there are a lot of Easter eggs added too. BreadAVOTA is a hypertext multimedia webcomic series, and it's about time that the first page people will see of it is something more interesting than the typical landing/disclaimers page.



I've learned a lot about making webbed sites in the past year since I've started and indie web spaces have been fruitful for this endeavour. I hope that by looking around this place I'll be able to learn even more things I can integrate into my project.

Happy site birthday! I too like to count my own site's anniversaries, which I initially wanted to match with my own birthday but I ended up buying the domain just three days prior (there was a timed offer I wanted to take advantage of :'3).
Changing graphics is a great way to celebrate it and you have come up with an amazing new page! Kudos!

Landing page looks great, but I can't figure out how to get back to it.

I clicked on your link and saw the landing page.

Then, I used f12 to check out mobile support.

Since doing that, even if I exit the dev console, hard-refresh or re-open the site from your OP link, I can't get to that landing page again. Sometimes I will see it for a moment, but it quickly redirects to /home:

Landing page looks great, but I can't figure out how to get back to it.

Once you click the 'Enter' button, it sets a cookie that remembers a person has visited the website before and automatically redirects to /home the next time one visits.

To return to the Index page without redirecting again, all you have to do is clear your browser cookies.

Minor update, but I finally made the page optimised for mobile It was far nore troublesome than one might expect so I will consider that an achievement.

Ah, got it. I think you should make it always accessible without the user needing to delete cookies. It's a really nice landing page.

Thank you! I most likely will when I have the time to fiddle with the code, in the first version of the landing page it didn't have much except disclaimers but now that it has some content in it, I ought to take your suggestion
