What are the "gifts" and how do you get/send them?

I'm wondering what the "Gifts" in the MelonLand forum are; like the Bubbles I have now, but I saw someone else have an egg badge I think. How do you get/give these?

The gifts are little things we can create and give to each other for fun! Some folks have made gifts that have a theme, and others just do them because they're neat. Melooon put up an update post about them a while back here:
