I made a resource webring!!!

A little while ago I saw Melon say this in a thread:

Resource sites are great and very useful, but there are quite a lot of them. One of the issues with the personal web is that (by its nature) everyone is so into their personal websites that they don't put so much effort into celebrating other people's sites; we could really use a lot more of that!

This inspired me to help celebrate other websites the best way I knew how: by making a webring!! It's called the Re:source Ring (Re: as in the abbreviation used in e-mails and whatever), and it's meant for any kind of resource site- graphics, layouts, tutorials, whatever. I based it off of old e-mail clients like Outlook. I used LibreRing for the script, so I got to design my own widget too! It turned out a little small, so I might revisit it, but it's still pretty neat.



It's my first webring, and it's not entirely functional yet (there's only one person in it ), but I'm pretty proud of it. I've been looking for an excuse to make a webring and use those awesome windows css frameworks I found, so this was a good way to knock out two birds with one stone. I'm totally open to any criticism you might have about the website or widget, too.

This is bizarre, I was just hopping around some webrings (mostly bucket and hotline interchangeably), happened across your site (which rocks btw), saw the webring widget, clicked on it, thought "Huh, fun, such a neat idea for a webring and so nicely done too, wonder why there's only one member still"

Then looked at this forum's shoutbox and went "Wait a second."

Anyway, caught you early, apparently! Great idea, I hope it grows

Do the tutorials have to be web development specific, or could they be more general (like how to program or how to use Linux)?

I laughed pretty hard at that too. The fact that the close window button leads back to the Neocities homepage is a nice touch as well.

Any kind of tutorials are fine! Just as long as they're generally computer or tech related.
