3D website with only css + html!

heya! i'm working on a page for marigold.town (slooooowly.........) and decided i wanted to make it a bit 3D! i've written up a walkthrough on how i did that and it is here for you to enjoy!

i was pretty intimidated by the idea of trying to learn unity or another 3d program/engine type of thing, but i think 3D websites are SO COOL. so this is what i've made hahaha. it is basically just taking a css cube and then making it really large haha.

i hope that this is helpful for you! i would love to see people do more stuff with 3d css besides decorative rotating cubes (which are very cool as well, dont get me wrong)! i think it would be a really cool way to display writing or art, or you could make dioramas, or just add a bit of rotated flavor to your backgrounds... you could add some small javascript stuff to turn, change perspective, move things around, etc with button clicks........ many possibilities when it comes to cubes!
