I have not done one of these yet!

My name on the internet is Dazhak! I am from Stockholm, Sweden and I am currently 17 years old. I speak in choppy english, and I do not care so much for correcting it

I like...
...html coding: I got into html coding in the summer of 2023, and it has sort of taken over my life since then! If life measured activities like how your phone measures what apps you use the most, my most done activity would be coding. I have a personal website named dogspit, it is linked in my signature!
...languages: I have always had a knack for reading and writing, I learned to read fluently around 5 years old (i think). I love learning how words and languages are related to each other and how they change throughout time! Typography also sort of runs in my veins, as my father is a calligrapher and graphic designer focusing on text design.
...graffiti: Sort of building off the language and writing thing, I really love graffiti. Whenever I am outside in the city, I look at every tag I see. I catalogue them in my head, visualise how the strokes were drawn. I form a map of where who has written and not. I aort of write myself, but not enough that I feel I could call myself a gaffiti writer.
...eastern europe: of my interests, this is sort of the odd one out. I love the cultures and languages of eastern europe, but mainly music. I basically only listen to russian language music. It started with Molchat Doma and branched out to many others.

She was a Siberian punk/no wave musician, pretty good.
Eastern music and culture sadly became a very polarized field over the last years, as both sides see it rather as a bargain chip in their conflict than a worth of its own. Imho, to engage with the different cultures is an important opportunity to gap the trenches between the people - regardless of who is in power in a specific country at the time.

Sadly not, but now I am inspired to start taking pictures! ooooh, I could make a page for it on my site, categorise different writers and styles and everything...

I was not, until now! She seems really cool, I'll make sure to check her out more extensively. I think I should properly dive deeper into easteuro music! Learn about who inspired who, find some interesting atricles and interviews and such

There have been too many times I have had to over-explain my interest in Eastern Europe, and most notably Russia, so people don't think I am a fan of the, at best questionable, at worst inexcusable, governments... 
Interacting with culture is so important in times of opposition, lest you let any dehumanizing propaganda tear away at your compassion for fellow humans.

Oh hey, I also have an interest in graffiti! I've always found it to be an important method of expression, especially from the oppressed class. It's cool to see such an old art form develop its own distinct style and culture surrounding it, too. I should start leaving some stuff around, now that i think about it...

It is called pichacao or pixacao! I'm generally not a big fan of this style, but in some cases it really interesting how tall and spidery the letters can get.

I really love Molchat Doma! I was very sad to learn that they came to my area earlier this year at a time that I couldn't make it out to see them play live.

Are there any other bands that you have gotten into as a result of this journey? While my tastes have trended towards doom metal in recent months, I really like the shoegazey, dreamlike vibe that Molchat Doma gives off.

It's always so fun to meet fellow fans! Do you have a favorite song or album, or are you like me and can't decide on just one

Are there any other bands that you have gotten into as a result of this journey?

Oh man, everything I listen to technically of comes from Molchat Doma. They were the first band that I actually cared about enough to listen to all their albums properly. And they were also the first russian language music I listened to (except some Kino on war music youtube channels...) so they are the reason I only listen to music in russian!
But more specifically Molchat Doma got me really into punk-ish rough-sounding music, that also has unabashedly electronic synthesizer sounds in it (maybe that is just what post-punk is idk)

If I remember correctly, the first "branch-offs" were Ploho and Buerak. Ploho sounds like Molchat Doma's earlier low-fi songs. Buerak I would describe as a bit more happy sounding? They were just sort of recommended to me by spotify under the "fans also listen to..." thing.
And then I think Super Besse? I had like two songs from them in some playlist, but more recently I rediscovered them and have entered a phase where listen to all their music on repeat!
Another band that is all synth is Kite. They make very dramatic, movie soundtrack-ish, electronic songs, that are really good to play while driving at night. My parents played their music in my childhood, so they contributed to me growing up liking electronic stuff.

Separately from all this I got into hardbass, jumpstyle, electronic hardcore and such, so if I were to simplify my taste in music to one word it would be BASS

Absolutely. I’m the same way. That’s why I learned how to play

Lately I’ve been going the complete opposite end of the bass spectrum though and listening to very heavy stuff like Electric Wizard and Black Sabbath. Electric Wizard in particular is just this really powerful blast of bass sound.
