the first consoles that i owned were my nintendo 64 and game boy color, but growing up i played on a snes and windows pc too. later childhood, i ended up acquiring a game boy advance, playstation portable, playstation 2, wii, playstation 3, nintendo ds, and nintendo 3ds.
i've never owned or played on an xbox console. i would like to try the original and the 360 someday if i can though.
nintendo 64 was my absolute favorite; i have fond memories watching and learning how to play ocarina of time with my family. i also had a few of the mario games which were easier for me to play, but i was really attached to zelda :). i used to rent out the cartridges too from the local video rental place. the ones ones i know i ended up renting were pokemon snap and a sesame street game called elmo's letter adventure.
but i also played a lot of pc games whenever i could use a computer. my favorite was, surprise surprise, another sesame street game called elmo's reading: preschool and kindergarten. it had two games: elmo's reading basics and elmo through the looking glass (my favorite of the two). and when i got older, definitely the first two sims games! there was even a *nsync cell phone game and barbie magic genie game i had, but i don't really remember the game play just the cool devices that you plugged into the pc and played the games with. i also liked pinball on windows xp and solitaire.
browser games were also something i enjoyed heavily like the games on the disney, barbie, cartoon network, and nickelodeon sites.
nintendo and pc defined my early childhood and playstation my middle school and up years. very grateful that i was able to play as many games as i did then and that i still own the majority of those (although i wish i played more of the pokemon games besides yellow and soulsilver! i didn't fully get into the games until omega ruby)
