I kinda dont enjoy the web revival as much anymore. Lemme explain why

You are getting different ideologies mixed up here. There are many various anti-corporate ideologies, with different reasons for being against corporations. It is confusing, the term anarchist is rather broad, but on its own it refers to a left wing movement. Some of the sites and communities you are talking about lean right wing, which is why multiple people in this thread were confused.

You do not need to know everything bad a corporation or government has done. If this is something that stresses you out, there is no point in engaging with it. You do not need to know how many people a mass murder has killed to know that they are not a great person.

If you personally want to do something about it, shift your focus on enjoying more non-corporate things, or on ways to rely on them less. This doesn't have to be a chore, but an excuse to try new things.

And im confused about what i should believe because everyone has their own take and says they're the only ones who're right, and if you dont wanna lose friendships around online you have to be agreeable as possible.

Beliefs change with time and experience. Multiple things can be true at the same time, and there are many half truths out there.

It is completely normal to have friends with various beliefs. Losing friends is stressful, I can not downplay that. However, it is not worth staying around people that stress you out. Your mental health is important.

Edit: I am not saying to cut off from your friends here. If you do not feel comfortable talking about politics you do not have to bring it up. If you are worried about what your friends think about you, you should try and have a discussion about how you feel.

Well when i made that post i was talking about those people kinda generally, and also i just kinda have a different view on this stuff, but anywho, you're probably right. I probably shouldnt make this any of my business if its something i dont want to do. I just wish i could commit to doing it.
What i think i need to do is make it so that browsing the internet and the sites i visit and the web revival work for me. i think thats probably the best thing i should do

yeah there's reasons why people feel really strongly about it, i feel strongly about it too, but posts about corpos and internet privacy etc aren't really aimed at everyone, it's hard to explain
they're pretty much for different groups, that already have reasons for being anti-corpo or have moral/safety reasons for needing more privacy
i think people will respect you for having a site alone, but if they don't then they're probably just rude anyway

I found this really therapeutic map on gmod called rp_nycity and its reallly relaxing just walking around it and exploring all the places in it. anyways i think im gonna go and focus on my mental health more, ill still probably need help so if i do ill contact y'all

I am intrigued by this map - I love exploring virtual worlds, and love walking sims or exploring maps in games. GMod is one of my fave things so excited to try out this map :)

@Misanthropic Monster™ :0 i didnt know u liked gmod too! steam isnt my favoritest thing but gmod is an awesome game and NYCity as well as southside and union city are some of the best maps on the game. NYcity is also a very y2k inspired map which might be up your alley if you're interested in that, and also they all have super amazing dance club music in the rave clubs.

At that point, I was satisfied with how far I got with the languages I was studying, and studying a new language sounded fun.
