    Hi! im Charlotte, I'm not usually one to talk on forums, more of a lurker. but I'm going to try my best to be, at least, a bit more active here.

    I am a French artist who work in animation industry. I love writing and drawing silly guys. I'm a lil obsessed with the concept of "character", of identity in its ultra-wide sense. that's why I write and draw people, to try to understand all the variety of meanings that it can have.

    i love colorful videogames so im a so-called "nintendrone" and most of all i really really really love Miis. also i love fighting games, not even necessarily playing them but hearing all kind of people talk about their experiences on this, that truely interests me.
and besides all that, I like cowboys, pokemon, DUNGEON MESHI, utdr and some other weirdkid interest

    my current site is cowboycloister.neocities.org, i'm learning to webcraft by doing it. I discovered all this html stuff at the very beginning of December so im really a newbie here. I love the idea of ​​having a personal space on the web even if I don't yet know what I'm going to do there.
Ultimately, my goal would be to create a site that would make the drawings, stories and adventures that I wrote for my Miis accessible to everyone.
but it's for a long time, there's a good chance I won't have the motivation to do that.

Hi! I really like the look of your website, the first couple of websites I made genuinely looked like very early web designs, that is, just text and links on a white background.
I'll just leave here a thought of mine, website making is a form of expression and art, there is no good or bad way to do it, there are just ways that you like and identify with more than others. You can always change stuff latter as your skills and tastes change and evolve with time, don't let "poor visual design" hold you back (especially because I genuinely think it is quite good ) and keep making stuff, I can't wait to see what you'll make once you learn more HTML/CSS (and maybe even JS).

Also from experience I will say that having a decent idea of the layout of the page you want to build (like you mentioned on your blog a lil sketch) helps a ton, just don't let that sketch hold back your creativity, sometimes as you are making a page and looking around the web you might come up with more cool ideas so take some time to experiment, if you don't like them you can always go back to your original plan, my website went through two different prototypes before I released it and it will probably keep on changing as I go.

Chouette une autre personne Française ! Fascinating idea about "characters" indeed ! They're fascinating, diverse and very different. Sometimes I find it mind-boggling that everyone I come across in a very big city has their own lives, their own issues, their own joys. There's times where I want to know everything about everyone so I sort of understand your attraction to the concept of characters.

Colorful games are cool yeah ! Don't worry too much about HTML, it's not a contest, the cool thing behind your own web page is that you can do absolutely what you want and put anything where you think it'll fit. As long as you enjoy what you do it's the most important.

I have a few acquitances who moved from the comic industry to the animation scene and I've always found it a very interesting enviroinment. It know it's a much more "secretive" job compared to comics and especially indie ones because for spoilering/leaking reasons they can't ever share anything on what they're working on, in particular if the project's really big... but I hope you can still share some silly/interesting anecdotes related to that kind of worklife!
