INTRODUCTION: START!

HELLO! I am Holly,,,.. professional,,, destinguished....,, I really really like ma 'puter, I draw & code whatever, mostly self indulgent stuff like le constant sketches of my fursona & whatever goofy project i made that benefits no one but me (i get taken over by the idea of making my computer a little bit more how i want it to be and i cant stop myself). I have been really really into this forum.. IDK if id call myself a lurker, more like i read whenever I can but I dont have a lot of time to really indulge how i want to :P or maybe my brain conceptualizes time way too fastt. I currently am working on a MUD server for friends to play on... I have some experience making websites, its a little embarrassing but I have this site I made for a web class howfrench.neocities.org (it has 1,000 views ??? does neocities have an algorithm i did not share this site anywhere ???) and the gimmick is that its a fake scam site making fun of language gurus on the internet, its made with exclusively jquery and is supposed to be like old internetty... I have made a project last year using React, like a fully functional game, but like I don't think im gonna host it anywhere. I'm a yapper excuse me.
Biggest reason as to why I gravitate towards this forum is that my experience with the web seemed sterile... Basically the most web culture ive experienced is like skin competitions in minecraft servers.. Everything on social media just felt like i was missing out.. like I'd just end up witnessing a bunch of cool stuff that was only like relevant to those that were apart of it, however i watched it happen like a tv show.. like not probably normal.. like most of my sort of relationship with the internet and the personality i show is based off of preconceptions i had made in the past of stereotypes of the internet that i had never actually experienced,,, because aparertly watching youtube guy talk abt drama actually gave me nothing..

hi, holly! tell us about your MUD server, that sounds really cool! I have been vaguely aware of them for yonks (I first learned of them because runescape started life as one) but only recently grasped what they actually entailed. It sounds like a cool medium for roleplaying! are you going to make a new character for it or play as your fursona you mentioned?

yes !!!! so basically i became aware of furryMUCK recently and its medium and history facinated me so much (i havent been on there actually too often) and i had never been exposed to such a uniquely tailored environment for essentially imagination in a social context. me <- not having very good skills with talking to randos, have decided to instead try to push real life friends into such a format and try my best to make it feel like an experience everyone contributes to. For characters, im not sure!! alot might use it for a platform for talking about normal things and thats fine! I might be my fursona! I dont care! I have a separate squishy personality which i am going to introduce through this format and since im in control for the most part i am safe and have a medium to be free in.
