Idk if this is normal, but I break down my drawings by color, and chunks of lineart. Before I even hit shading and background, I'll already have 30 layers. This is to make clipping and adjusting colors easier, but man... I hate myself sometimes for it!! At this point, idk why I do it. But it sometimes makes it easier to get my art printed, like on keychains or stickers. Only sometimes.

Habits list in no particular order:
- would make facial expressions as I try to draw them
- distracted by background noise/mental thoughts
- "this looked better in my head" (completely normal)
- concentrate on visualizing the pose of character/hand(s)
- sketches being called chicken scratches (hehe)
- ideas for other pieces (aka NOT the one I'm currently working on; also normal)
- "did I remember to do this?" and various other tasks
- stuff that happened years ago that still haunt me
- save it save it save it - SAVE IT SAVE IT (mostly for digital art)
- that doesn't look right for that character!

I could be missing some bits here and there. Notes of them being "normal" are due to how common other artists feel that way when creating.

Using mspaint as a main program of mine is already pretty peculiar to some  but my main distinct feature in programs like clip studio is feeling the need to go through every layer setting when I add shading or highlights "just to make sure I use the best filter." It's a little silly when I type it out and definitely makes my drawing process longer, yet I find myself doing it almost every time :ohdear:
Old habits die hard i suppose
