Apologies if this has been discussed before. It's kind of a hard thing to search for.

The majority of topics on the forum from what I've seen have a

tag on it regardless of how new the post actually is/how recent the replies are. Why is it there and what does it actually mean?

New means "new to you" ~ its a topic that has been added since you first visited a board, but that you have not looked at ^^ (as far as I know! I might be wrong

)
