So I'm not sure if anybody has heard of this game before. But for those who are a major fan of Minecraft. There was a lot of people in the community who may have heard about this game that was a heavily inspired alternative to Minecraft. It was made by a group of people who also ran a famous Minecraft server, Hypixel.
Now, I never really looked on this game that much most of the time through it's developments existence, but I do remember it existing for sure, every once a while I would remember this game, and how it always was taking for ever for it to finally release to the public. I always was excited for it since it could potential be a great alternative to Minecraft, almost like a fresh new experience. Most of time when we get games that are "similar" to Minecraft, they always try to hard to be a clone or rip-off, rather than being an actual whole heart inspiration to the game and making a spin off their own features, ideas and world building.
So knowing that this game could potentially knock it out of the ball park with a fresh new experience that it feels like your playing Minecraft for the first time again, just to hear that it admittedly gets canceled after all the waiting is really devastating to hear. This game could have really been something and I really mean it, I know the game looked amazing from the screenshots, but it also where a whole bunch of features they had listed on their website about all the stuff they introduced. There going far beyond what Minecraft couldn't accomplish that the community could in mods.
More bosses, actually interesting new biomes, items, and creatures, quests. They even had their own mode for making animations and also a more advanced creative mode. They even had a more advanced avatar editor.I won't go into to much far more detail, but
more is on their website. But basically as it is, so much ambition and effort was being put into this project. Just to go to waste. I really thought to myself, what do you have to lose? Why give up now? If you gonna give up something you worked so much on, you might as well give the project to someone else to continue potential work onto it's future.
I never realized this game was so important and why it could be amazing until I heard the terrible news. But that's the problem, not enough people really paid attention to this game, you may hear it every once in a while, but people didn't just care or even try enough. I also was one of those people, but I was always on the back burner hopefully awaiting the day it was getting near it's publishing phase.
Not only this was sad and quite depressing, I was almost angry hearing this. I don't want to harp on it to much, but in this day in age, a lot of really bad things are happening in this world, so many
terrible and bad actors in the industries, and anything innovated or new could really change something. I'm tired of seeing really good projects and ideas go to waste. So many great movie ideas being wasted over clueless directors or studios in the industry.
