as netizens, i think most of us had that One obscure-ish social platform that we spent absurd amounts of time on as children… for me that platform was
Hopscotch, and not the sidewalk chalk kind!
in case you don’t know (which i’m assuming you don’t), it was a block-based coding platform that allowed users to create and share simple programs. its biggest draw was that it introduced coding concepts to kids in an easy-to-understand way, although i remember some people made genuinely impressive projects with it. it was basically Scratch for ipad kids HAHA
i’m really curious if anyone else used Hopscotch, since it was such a big part of my childhood. if so, feel free to share your memories and/or projects that you may still have access to
also does anyone remember how popular roleplaying was on there… and how you could find those undertale or fnaf or whatever rp projects that were just blank canvases where people added their responses and eventually the canvas would fill up and it’d look like a giant unreadable wall of disjointed text… and does anyone remember magmaPOP??? and the forums???????? i have so many buried memories HEEELP
