I haven't had a Subway sandwich in a while (and for a while, I mean a looooong time, like ages).
That doesn't mean I don't remember what Subway sandwiches I loved however; I distinctly remember the meatball marinara being my all-time favorite. In fact, that's the only sandwich I remember having from Subway, and that's because that was pretty much the only sub I wanted from there. I loved it that much!
If I remembered correctly, I first chose that sandwich because it has meatballs in it (and I love meatballs), and ever since I never tried any other kinds (or maybe I did?)
If I get a Subway sandwich again there's no doubt I'm getting that meatball marinara one again

Been a while since I have had Subway myself... I'm cheap and usually had other places like Jersey Mike's or Casey's when they did subs the same way.

My go to had always been the cold cut combo loaded with veggies and pickles. Sometimes I did take off tomatoes or had them in there lightly. Lettuce the same way because I felt like they stack on too much of it and it feels like a salad.
I did get the chicken teriyaki at one point and liked it. Wonder why I haven't gotten it again since?

Ironic to see this considering I've been talking with my parent/house buddy about winging through next week as they said it's going to be hot.

This was always my pick as well. I'm not sure if it's something my parents talked me into getting because it was one of the more affordable options but I was happy with it.

I'm also not sure if the quality of Subway declined over the years or if my standards were just low as a kid. I think it's maybe a mixture of both, since a lot of people seem to comment on declining quality.

I'm guessing the same, but also because prices for everything just keeps going higher than the rate of my blood pressure when I'm stressed. Some of it tends to vary between the quality of the meats, veggies, to the overall atmosphere. I personally knew quality was past expired when the footlongs were no longer $5...  :ohdear:

I tend to go for an Italian B.M.T. Lots of veggies to counter the red meat though! I Like all the veggies but pickles, and load it with BBQ sauce as well :)

I haven't been able to go to Subway very often (since it's pretty expensive), but the kind I usually get is the nashville-style hot chicken sandwich. I love that shit, especially with added banana peppers and bacon  :chef:

I don't really go to Subway, but I do work at a Publix deli and if I want to get lunch I usually go for...

Roast beef on multigrain bread, with mayo and lots of the pepperhouse sauce. The cheese is 3-pepper colby jack if available, pepperjack if not. Toasting is optional (I usually go for it if I'm on break and can eat it immediately, otherwise it gets soggy). Toppings are very light lettuce, tomato, plenty of garlic pickles, cucumbers, and olives. Then one more drizzle of the pepperhouse on top, the deli dressing, and maybe some salt and pepper. It is... very, very greasy, but it's absolutely delicious.

A fellow Publix sub enjoyer!
I also haven't really had Subway before somehow (if I have, then I don't remember it). Though I do have a preferred Publix sub order!

I tend to get an Italian Publix sub on the white sub bread with added olives, mayo, oil and vinegar, and occasionally jalapeños if I want a kick. It's not super complicated but it's so good when I have a chance to get one. I'd assume there's a way to get a similar, if not identical, sub at Subway and it'd taste just as good.

I always order the same thing at Subway.

Italian bread, steak as protein, shredded cheese, toasted. Then I tell them to put as MUCH pickles as they physically can. Like just dump the entire bucket of pickles on there. Sometimes I get tomatoes if I feel like it, then yellow mustard.

Tada! The Batgal special. :ok:

I just love vinegar-y flavors so the mustard + the pickles + the savory-ness of the meat is like the perfect combo to me.

Subway employee here. I eat there pretty much every shift. I find myself going with the steak & egg, because it is both one of the cheaper options, and is decently filling. I don't get any sauce, because I find the sandwiches to have plenty of flavor already. Sometimes I like to toast the vegetables.

The pizzas are also good when you put BBQ sauce on them, but I find them too small.

To be honest, I think the standard, catered in smaller sandwiches ham and cheese are really good - with the mayo. They're really simple and delicious. I remember enjoying the teriyaki, meatball marinara and steak/cheese subs a lot too but I think they mess up my stomach :(
