What's on your website to-do list?

On my to-do list I have:
Make website more efficient (Storage-wise and clean up my code)
Make website more accesible (Add alt-text to pictures, site map, and other things)
Make a page showing my cd collection. It shows them lined up like on a shelf, just showing the spines. Then when you hover over them, they get slightly bigger. And then you can click on them and it'll bring you to a new page where it shows the cover and any thoughts I have on it

well, i'm currently coding a completely new website with HTML and CSS, all from my windows 7 laptop on notepad, so... i guess that's what's on my to-do list?

more specifically, i'm going to find a way to give it a favicon, a custom cursor, fix whatever's causing my logo as a GIF to not appear properly thru catbox, and most importantly, find the HTML code that centers text

• Finish writing for the Shadowvanilla and Gumlee shrines
• Update graphics page (next section to be completed: IMVU buttons)
• Get back to writing in my diary regularly
• Give more site awards

Potential ideas (less certain than "to do"):

• Microblog for crossposting from Tumblr (possibly with a changeable theme)

The id 1 task on my todo list for about a year now has been to create a Gemini site, but since I sorta lost interest in that it'll probably stay there forever, taunting me :P. Anyways, for my http site, I've been wanting to make a self hosted gallery, mainly just being held back by the sheer number of drawings I have in my art folder and having to go through and add metadata and such to all of them. I already have about a 2 year backlog of uploading the old comic pages to the new format that I've been procrastinating on for MONTHS.

At the very least, I rewrote some of my tooling to be server-side python, rather than jankily trying to pipe commands through ssh on my host computer. Since its all on the same system (the script i wrote on my side just uploads a given file then ssh's into the python script), its so much easier to maintain and doesn't feel like I'm fighting the system the entire time!!

now that i've completely redesigned my website (for the last time), there are a few more things i want to do:

1. make more secret pages
2. start writing my blog
3. buy a custom domain
4. link some 88x31 buttons
5. attach my status.cafe status

Various shrines to artists/art I like (the big one I’m thinking of rn is vintage dragon art)
Various accessibility tweaks (lots of images need alt texts)
add a dark mode switcher or maybe a general theme switcher
go browse other people’s sites so I can have some buttons to put in my sidebar and links for a “cool sites” page
related: join some webrings now that my site has substantial content!
look into music players…

Also far in the future, I want to look into independent hosting because my plans for what I want to host on my site may be too ambitious for neocities or any other hosting sites’ capacity… (namely, hosting all of my art on it...which, according to my files, totals alone to up to over 2 gigs….)

well, here is what i have to do according to my current version of my to do list:

TOP PRIORITIES:
clean up 2 years worth of shitty code (-w-"

redesign site
get rid of the semantic numbering system for the updates and just specify dates. this shi getting messy af

MEDIUM PRIORITIES:
rebuild about section
rebuild jpeg gallery
art section (?)
deshittify the lastfm widget (make own)
figure out how the last.fm api works in the first place

LOW PRIORITIES:
new header images
unshittify the asset fetch script
add more site graphics
make this website more acessible for the ability impaired

"I'LL GET TO IT EVENTUALLY" PRIORITIES:
implement cloudflare rules to allow for older browsers to access the site through http if at all possible
rename VHS Stuff page to VHS archive
background music (?)
change marquees to comply with modern web standards if at all possible

this is so tough bc i feel like i get an urge to completely revamp my site every couple months and it always stunts any progress, but i do have a few things i really wanna focus on in the coming months!

* add a batman reading recs list… this is so big for me that it feels impossible to tackle ough.

* fill out more reviews/blurbs for games, movies, & shows ive seen. its so easy to put pictures there but i always have things to say and never the time to write em down LOL

* actually start making some shrines for my many interests
