[Deltarune Spoilers Warning] How do you think Deltarune's weird route will end?

Given that in chapter 4 Kris forcefully makes Noelle wear the thorn ring (which is likely a symbol of abusive manipulation and control) I think that this heavily implies that Kris, under the dictatorship of the player/soul is attempting to form an abusive relationship with Noelle in the aim of seizing absolute power over another character which is diametrically opposite of the themes of the player having no power to choose or control the game. It seems that in the wierd route the goal of the player is to obtain power by any means necessary even at the expense of all others. I believe given this that towards the later chapters (6-7, possibly as soon as 5) that the soul (player) will exert so much influence over Noelle to the point at which she becomes actually playable like Kris but significantly more resistant to commands and becomes even more desensitized to the violence she is forced to commit and completely losing her personality and emotions. This would end in in Kris completely rebelling against the player and trying to kill the soul and liberate Noelle alongside the help of Susie and Ralsei which makes the soul no longer able to play as Kris. This would also tie back directly to chapter 2 when the soul used Kris by proxy to forcefully make Noelle kill innocent monsters and even her own friend Berdly with snowgrave in cyber city for the sake of the soul's sadistic and selfish persuit of power. At the end this would result in the climax of Noelle now being fully under the control of the player, forced to kill Kris, Susie, and Ralsei (and possibly even her own family and neighbors) as they are all now existeintial threats to the soul's goal of power. I also think that at the very end once Noelle is "used up" by the soul and discarded like a tool, the soul breaks free from the player itself after obtaining enough "freedom" from the shadow crystals and kills the player controlling the soul in the same manner as Chara killing the player at the end of the Undertale genocide route.

Deltarune is a very big Interest of mine!! In my opinion, the whole "gaining control of Noelle" theory is all but guarenteed, considering the themes you covered, as well as that one spooky moment in chapter 4 where you're given a choice box with 3 empty options. I subscribe to the theory that since the question was indirectly aimed at both Noelle and Kris ("what were YOU TWO doing in there?"), the choices you're given are from Noelle, but since she didn't even hear the question, no options are actually generated. I honestly think Tricky Toby has something much wackier than just "fight Kris, Susie, and Ralsei" for the final boss, and my guess is that weird route won't even be able to finish Chapter 5 or 6. This is based on the throwaway line from Noelle about softlocking the game and wandering around a void for hours, and it could be 100% wrong (or a bit of a jerk move on Toby's part if you had to replay the entire game just to get to later chapters), but MAN would it hit SO hard. I really wish I could experience it first-hand, but I struggle to beat Spamton NEO even on the normal version with 3 party members.

iirc Toby said that Deltarune was going to have just one ending, so that's what I think is gonna happen, both the regular and weird routes end in the same place. One of the big things that Deltarune set up from the beginning was that your choices don't matter, you create a vessel and then it immediately gets discarded, and while there is clearly a different route in the game, each chapter always starts and ends in the same place. It doesn't matter whether you spare or attack all the enemies; the fountain still gets sealed by the end, the Roaring Knight is still causing issues, you still end up fighting a Titan. Ralsei also has his whole breakdown thing in chapter 4, he thought that if the crew was nice enough to everyone they could maybe change the end result of the prophecy, but that clearly didn't happen. Because of this, I think that Deltarune's big thing is gonna be that it's not the ending that matters, it's the journey you took to get there- when you know that no matter what you do you're still gonna get the same end result, the path you take can say a lot.
