It's bonkers how it's even possible and the fact anybody could think of doing something like that. I know Scratch is kind of like Roblox in that it's a website for kids that has a number of older folks who used it for over a decade when they were young, and are now still staying on it and making more impressive stuff on it.

Too bad the "data" on the filesystem is unreachable because it's not a real os, it's a self-contained application, so I can't recommend you to write anything important on either of them.

This is really cool! I actually did something similar back in the day. My username (purplehello98) got its start on Scratch! Anyways, I made this OS called "Inspire OS", so named because I based it off a project someone else had made called "Aspire OS". I used different elements inspired (ha) by and made by lots of others over the years (I remember Scratch's community was always pretty pro-copying/sharing code) and built up a fictional tech company, Bouncy, around it. I made fictional products (such as the oh-so-creatively-named uPhone and uPod)and other OSes as well, like Inspire+ and MD-DOS. I was really passionate about it back in the day! I even partnered with an elementary school classmate and we swore we would make it reality. Granted, we were 10. The first disagreement we had led to me dumping him, even though he swore it was "just another kink in our chain". I was a dramatic child :P

Anyways this is really cool and brought back a lot of great memories :)

Wow this is so interesting!! Unfortunately as soon as the page started loading my laptop started trying to self-immolate, I'll have to check it out more once I'm at the big computer. I had no idea this would even be possible in Scratch but it was a bit after my time (the classes I took growing up that would have taught Scratch taught us Flash, HTML, and early Lego robotics instead)

Now I want to check out other weird Scratch projects, this got me more interested in the tool than ever before  :dive:
