Paint silliness

Hello. I have started having a mess around in Paint and am enjoying making silly images. These are two I made earlier today:







I would like to get really good at this type of thing; it would be cool to be able to make something really intricate and detailed. These are both obviously very simple but I'm surprised how good they turned out given I am practising near enough for the first time. Does anyone else do anything like this? I have seen a lot of good drawing on here but no Photoshop-y stuff yet. I would like to get back into drawing at some point. That's the end of this message. Goodbye.

I've never made this style art myself but I really find it interesting. I used to watch a coworking/visualizer streamer that would periodically stream herself making paper collages. Paint collages/photoshops are a very similar mindset and one that I should work on.

A few months ago my partner and I did a creative reuse bookbinding class where there was the option to pull any type of paper media from  their bins. My fiancee made an incredible collage of magazine clips, but mine was more of just a collection layout of old family photos and slides. I'd like to try that again with a more open mindset.

Oh I've never actually tried a paper collage. I have a few papers/magazines lying around and now I want to (ok not right right now, but at some point).

I've just finished another image, more detailed etc than previous efforts:





I think the background image may be AI although I'm not sure; I got it off Pexels. It was the only one that fit the idea I had so there's not much I can do. I think I have manipulated it enough and added enough things for this not to be seen as an AI image. I would prefer to use genuine photographs in future though.

I dug through my files and found this paint silliness I made for a friend. Definitely shallower and less artistically minded than what you're doing, but I remember it being fun anyway. This poster had come up with a fantasy wrestling booking that I really liked lmao.

Just wanted to update this bc I have added a lot more to the Van Gogh image I did and made it a lot better. The one further up was unsatisfying bc of the AI element (it looked kind of 'dead', as you would expect) so I decided to draw all over it to make it more 'alive'. I'm pleased with how it has turned out and think it is finally done now (it's perhaps a bit messy but it's the best I can do at this time).
