Hi! I just discovered Blaugust and was wondering if anyone wanted to share their blogs. I haven't been able to make a lot of posts for mine yet, but I'm trying to plan some!

What is Blaugust? From the link above:

"For anyone arriving here for the very first time Blaugust is a month-long event that takes place each August which focuses on blogging primarily and has started to include other forms of serialized content over the last several years. The goal is to stoke the fires of creativity and allow bloggers and other content creators to mingle in a shared community while pushing each other to post more regularly. Above all the goal of Blaugust has always been to prove to folks that they can in fact sit down every day and create something fresh and then share it with the world. Posting regularly builds a community and in this era of AI-slop content, our voices are needed even more than we ever have been at any point in the past. Our hope is to create a nurturing environment where Veteran bloggers can help those just getting started and the cross-pollination of ideas can create something truly spectacular. Your blog gives you a permanent foothold on the Internet that you own and have complete control of, and that is a really good feeling in the midst of shifting trends. Blaugust at its heart has always been about celebrating the creation of content on a regular schedule. The original challenge was to post 31 times during the month of August which is 31 days long. This can be posting every day or doubling up on some days to make the schedule a bit easier. However, we also want to award anyone who starts down this path, because deciding to blog in the first place is a victory in itself. As such we give out awards based on the number of posts that you manage to knock out during the month of August. Again the idea is to spark creativity and get folks to create more content, not necessarily grinding them to dust on the millstone of some lofty goal."

I am doing it because I love longform content and writing and talking about my life's goings-on. If you're doing Blaugust, or want to, I'd love to read yours.

This is such a fun idea! I definitely would love to see more blog websites around, I hope this gets more people into that. I've been considering blogging on my own site as well. I don't know if I will participate this year because it's a little late but I love that this exists.

i've been posting for blaugust! ribo.zone/blog/blaugust-2025/ i shared something every day for two weeks, so now i'm taking a break

there's a big file with every RSS feed from sites who officially signed up, and i added it to my RSS feed reader. there's 158 of them (!!), so they've sort of taken over (and it's way more than i'm able to read), but it's been fun poke my head outside my usual bubble and see what people are saying. lots of gaming blogs!

I only just found out about this. I'd usually only write if i think i have something to say, but i'll give it a try this year. There's not much i can say about it that i wouldn't be repeating from my blog post on the matter.
