Should archivists get rid of 'unsavory' content?

To keep it on a lighter but also close to home note; what do you do when the archive is in conflict with different cultural expectations? For example in France (at least in Paris) adult stores and nudity are widely accepted as public expression, in Europe as a whole sexuality is more accepted, while in other western countries sex is a much greater taboo.

I've had complaints that I included results if you search "sex" on pixelsea even though I don't personally find the results unsavory, they are part of the joke of pixelsea as a commentary on the web (though I don't think id want them on the forum itself..). What do you think?

All I can say is that I'd be a terrible archivist, as I can't see myself preserving things I believe are bad/wrong and do not agree with...

I'd be quite heavily selective about the stuff I'd preserve...
