j-rock and visual kei song/album recommendations

are you interested in older visual kei? i'm a very big fan of buck-tick! they were one of the first visual kei bands. they're still around but i like their music from the 90s the best. some song recommendations i'd give for them are aku no hana, dress, speed, and love me

Seconding the buck-tick recommendation!! They were one of the first vkei/jrock bands I ever got into.

The song you linked seemed more j-rock in sound than vkei, especially because the video wasn't really too out there. Because of this, I'd recommend (as I always do) Plastic Tree, my favorite j-rock band that has a really huge range of sounds. Based on the song you liked I would recommend the album Ammonite -- most of the songs are around the same pace and there are some really beautiful compositions.

As for another recommendation, definitely Eve. I don't know much of his background (apparently he's big with the Utau folks???) but i know that I've been listening to him for years and that he got really popular for doing the first jujutsu kaisen OP. That said I think his best work is probably Raison D'etre or Last Dance. He's got that same vibe as the song you linked -- energetic in a really catchy way.
