growing up, de ja vu was an uncommon thing for me, i got it maybe once a year and it was a short and confusing thing. but over the last 2 or 3 years, ive been expreriencing it wayyy more often. i mean like every month, sometimes multiple times in a week and its more intensive, as in it feels more powerful and it lasts longer. it also feels like i am recollecting events from earlier and earlier.

The pattern of growing intensity has gotten to the point where i feel like i can manipulate my de ja vu to know what it about to happen in the immediate future, like i can see the future and i have changed my actions to correspond. it is such a strange phenomenon.

i could be entirely wrong here but i feel like this first started occuring after i began regularly lucid dreaming around 2021/22. do dreams work on similar premises to de ja vu? i don't know its very intriguing.

Hi, welcome to the forum!  :4u:

Dropping by to say, firstly there is always a practical quality to dreams, the older you get the more you naturally are able to predict your life (especially if things are not changing a lot) and the more chance there is for de ja vu like things to happen.

HOWEVER, I don't think that explanation really captures the uncannyness I tend to feel about de ja vu moments.. I very much do believe in physic powers, both as a byproduct of being perceptive, but also as a genuine force beyond what can be known.

That, beyond what can be known, bit might be important though, I suspect the more you try and grasp at de ja vu, the more it will slip through your fingers, it's meant to be a glimmer in the corner of your eye, its natural home is in mystery, and that should be respected.

Being perceptive is always a good idea though, Id keep an eye on it!  :eyes:
