I have looked on the forum everywhere for this type of topic. Nothing came up, so that means I am here to claim this topic. So, what are you choosing, Marvel, or DC? I pick Marvel. I just think it’s much more interesting and has much more interesting stuff (yeah, I didn’t really think that through very well 💀). If it’s Marvel, or if it’s DC, tell me your pick, and tell me why it’s either Marvel or DC. 😏

You clearly didn't watch Smallville, so I'll take the liberty to heavily recommend it. I think that show it's peak DC in terms of story quality and watchability(basically the quality of not becoming boring at all after a few seasons). In Smallville, the story is completely different from any typical superhero narrative that these universes tend to have. It's an amazingly crafted show, starting from character devlopment to their complex relationships, subtleties, moral struggles, you can relate to all of them. It has its own spark and it shows a very humane version of Superman that we'll never see anywhere else or in any other superhero. The actors chosen for each role are exactly how you’d imagine them. They introduced the powers and the "superhero" elements at a very incipient point in the DC universe, basically before they got contoured and became the classics of DC that everyone know. I'm more than impressed by the direction the shows went for and it's one of my all time favorites. Many others were great, but none came closer to this one for me.

From Marvel, I liked Loki a lot, it was again a show that wasn't focused on super powers that much and it was more about character exploration with an interesting driving plot at its core. WandaVision and Moon Knight also moved beyond traditional superhero action flicks to something more complex and I also consider them great, but DC touched more profound grounds from what I saw. You can find in both great stories and ideas depending on your preferences, but I just tend to resonate more with the vibe that DC is inspiring me.

Honestly the stories/shows that i've seen come out of dc have far exceeded marvel (for me) and i'd say i like DC a lot more then i like marvel. Characters like batman, nightwing, superman, etc just work for me way better then anything I've seen out of marvel to be perfectly honest. :skull:

i always enjoyed marvel stuff when i was younger but now, at least at the moment i feel like DC is releasing better video content then marvel is (though i am bias to animated stuff so theres that too). MAWS and Batman Caped Crusader have been some of my favorite shows of the year and im more excited to see more outta them then i am to see stuff outta marvel at the moment. though if there is some marvel content you think i may like which could help change my mind then let me know :mark:

I am finally almost at the end of the first Avengers movie. The fact that it took me my whole life to finally watch it is wild 💀

You’re not incorrect. The shows are quite good in my opinion. That’s like the only one good thing I like about DC, their shows.
